Clement's obituary

Clement Kam Cho Leung

November 1, 1945 - May 24, 2024

Clement Kam Cho Leung, known to many as Clem, peacefully departed this world on May 24, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family in Oakland, CA. Born on November 1, 1945, in Vietnam, Clement’s early journey led him to Hong Kong at the age of two, where his life began to prosper. As a young boy, he found solace and purpose in the church, where he joyfully volunteered, served meals to those in need and attended services with a devout heart. It was in these early school years in Hong Kong that he met Josephine who later would become his lifelong partner.

In 1967, Clement and Josephine set their sights on a new life in the United States, finding their home in the vibrant city of San Francisco, CA. Clement’s life was a mosaic of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication. His family was his world, his heart beat for the game of golf, and his entrepreneurial spirit carved out a successful business path. Clement lived with an irresistible zest, embracing every moment with a full heart and an uncontainable joy. His adventurous spirit took him and Josephine to over 30 countries with each journey adding a new chapter to his story. A fervent sports lover, Clement’s passion extended beyond the golf course; he was a loyal and active fan, hosting annual Giants and Warriors gatherings that became cherished traditions among family and friends. Yet, it was golf that truly captured his soul, a sport he embraced with unparalleled fervor.

Clement's enduring legacy lives on through his devoted wife of 57 years, Josephine, and their esteemed children, Maxwell and his wife Jeanette, Curtis and Teresa, and Seewell and his wife Wendy. His grandchildren, Ian, Alyssa, and Ethan Leung, will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Clement is also remembered by his brothers Kwok Toa and David, who reside in Hong Kong, and his brother Andy, who lives in Sacramento, CA. Clement’s spirit, heart, and boundless love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
