Chris's obituary
Christopher Albano, born on November 6, 1956 in Waterbury, CT, completed his warrior's journey on August 25, 2025, in St. Augustine, FL. He was a remarkable musician, athlete, husband and father who touched the lives of many with his tenacity and passion for life.
Chris had an adventurous soul and a strong spirit, like quenched steel tempered by flame. He spent his younger years hitchhiking across the United States, playing in various bands and rebelling against social norms as a totally groovy hippie. His love for music was an integral part of who he was - whether it was writing songs on the piano or guitar in his home studios, playing gigs with the family band at cafes, or sharing laughter with friends over a jam session.
Chris was also passionate about cycling and practicing tai chi, finding peace and balance in those activities. He cycled all over the world, most notably across Italy while savoring wines of the region, and for Cycle Greater Yellowstone in 2017 for the solar eclipse with his son Nico.
Chris enjoyed exploring the artful city of Montreal, a place that brought him joy and inspiration, and where he could often be found savoring great food in good company. He loved the beaches and wilderness of Anastasia State Park, admiring every creature that crossed his path. Chris truly embraced life and the beauty of each moment.
Professionally, Chris carved out a successful career in the technology and music industries. He spearheaded many startups that were at the forefront of technological and musical innovation. His dedication and talent led him to travel to far corners of the world, having truly unique adventures along the way.
Chris adored spending time with his family. He cherished adventures with his beloved wife, Andree Vezina, and took immense pride in his two crazy kids, Aurelle and Nico Albano. His raucous laughter and ability to connect with people regardless of language barriers always made his presence stand out at social gatherings. He was fiercely inspirational and encouraging, well-known for his fantastic storytelling, intellect, and for being incredibly handsome and cool in every sense.
Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Andree; his daughter, Aurelle; his son, Nico; and his brothers, Mark and Julius Albano. His ashes will be scattered at locations meaningful to him in the United States and Canada, an expression of his free spirit and love for life. He will be deeply missed, and his memory cherished.
