My condolences to Lorie's family. I first met Lorie when we were on the golf course in Southern California, played together for over 27 years in a foursome. Lorie was known as “the bomber” and could hit the ball far. The last several years we lived in the same neighborhood and would carpool to the golf courses. Lorie didn’t meet a stranger, and at retiree meetings he would lead out with his rich bass voice. He loved banana cream pie, and several times I brought pies from Marie Calendars to him. We had many times sweet fellowship with he and Julie. We and many others will miss him but look forward to sweet fellowship in heaven where there will no longer be heartache or suffering. Come Lord Jesus
My condolences to Lorie's family. I first met Lorie when we attended Junior Camp back East. I can't remember whether it was with the New Jersey Conference or the Greater New York Conference. Lorie was always outgoing and friendly. My husband Norman and Lorie were involved in activities in the SECC conference. I am looking forward to the day we will be reunited with our loved ones when Jesus comes to take us to be with him.
Condolences to the Purdey family. We first met Lorie on a lovely cruise and through the years we’ve enjoyed seeing him every now and then. We so look forward to that Great resurrection Morning to be reunited with our loved ones and friends! We long for Jesus to come and spend eternity with Him.
I’m Rhonda Geddes neice and cousin to Lori Purdey! I spent time with his Father Charley and Mother Edith! He was always laughing and singing! Lori and I would walk up E Glenoaks in Glendale and have the most beautiful conversations. He was an awesome listener and advisor! He was truly a very special person!
He always had a smile and shared his inner light with anyone he came across! Always accepting, kind, loving, and full of Grace! He will live on in my heart forever, I will always be able to see him in my minds eye!!!
Lorie was a good friend of mine for over 20 years. I will miss the phone calls, the face to face conversations and his great sense of humor. What a unique individual.
