I had the pleasure of working with Chanel at Drexel University. I was so saddened to hear about her passing, and my thoughts, prayers, and love go out to her family and loved ones. Chanel and I bonded over our love for the purple majesty, Prince. I remember telling her about my visit to Paisley Park, and we quickly got lost in the music and memories. We debated that you could be both a Prince and Michael Jackson fan! Chanel, thank you for all the memories and the help and support you have given my team over the years. You were a brilliant, kind, and loving person who will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of being one of three women to have Chanel as a supervisor in AIS. She was a true advocate, mentor and friend. I bounded with her on our connection to Brooklyn, NY where her in-laws reside, helping our elderly parents and on sci-fi movies especially the Star Wars series. Our greatest connection was around the joys of motherhood. I learned a great deal from her on resources and activities for my son and most recently navigating the high school process . So Joseph Sr., Gabrielle, Moriah and Joseph Jr., thank you for sharing your wife and mother with us at Drexel.

My husband and I are stunned and deeply saddened by Chanel’s passing. Our hearts break for Joe, Gabby, Mariah, and Joe Jr. Gabby, Mariah, and Joe Jr. went to elementary school with our daughter Lena Bobbye. I will never forget the wonderful moments we got to spend with Chanel and Joe at the school or, Mark Ward, discussing parenting, our work lives, and our children. There are those parents that just get you, you know, and Chanel and Joe were two of them. Chanel’s easy warmth and sense of humor brought quick smiles to our faces when we saw her at a school or camp event. Chanel, your loveliness is cemented in our hearts.
So Very Sincerely,
Bill and Margot Keys
