Aside from “Sunflower”, I’ve always thought of you as “Bad A$$ Yellow Bandit” (I sang that btw). As I entered the Houston media scene, I can always say you were a welcome smile, open arms, and knew how to “throw your weight” around when necessary. So much so, to literally moving through a thick crowd @ a SXSW showcase to get to the stage. Watching you take a chance, believing in your gifts & launching your brand was such an inspiration. Watching you boss up without the need to brag was even more inspiring. It’s one thing to be brains & beauty, but that personality was bigger than any room you could stand in. There’s many more memories and laughs to be shared in your absence than tears to be shed. You will be missed is an understatement, but your legacy will live through all the lives you’ve touch with your smile & infectious laugh.

#YellowBanditForever 💛
I remember the first time we met at an outside bbq party. I was sitting by myself and you came to sit next to me. I’m naturally quiet so you introduced yourself and we had fun from there! You lit up EVERY room you entered and we will keep that light shining in memory of you! Love you YB 💛💛💛💛💛🕊
I will never forget our crawfish adventures, career talks and life updates. You were one of the first people I met at the U of H Communications school and you took me under your wing. I considered you my mentor, sister and friend. You were an amazing person, inside and out. I will miss you so much. I promise to request some lemon with my butter when I get my crawfish and order some huge crab legs in your honor. Until we meet again…love you, sis.

Cece, sis, you were such an inspiration to me and one of the few people that I knew would provide light to darker days. You were always smiling and always feeding everyone around you with positivity. You were a huge part of a lot of us. Although you’re no longer here in the flesh, you will live forever in our hearts. I’ll cherish our last conversation and promise to fulfill the promise I made to you. I love you, always and forever. Until we see each other again❤️
You were loved so much. I called you sunshine because of your contagious smile. Always a good word, always the life of whatever room you were in. Love you more

Thank you, for being so selfless, and showing me the ropes. I’m so grateful for EVERYTHING you taught me. Still working on pronouncing “charcuterie” correctly though. Love you, you will be missed! 💛
Gonna miss you sis! Life won't be as random or adventurous without you here. You were more than your work and I admired your resilience to keep pushing, no matter what. It was an honor to be your friend and to have you as a sister. I will try to watch every Marvel film from this day forth in your honor and bring my cheat sheet that you gave me LOL. I love you. #SimplyBornInitiative Forever!
Cece, my sister from the East, you will be missed, but your spirit will forever live on. Rest peacefully!
