1979, Bus trip to Seattle to see King Tut exhibit

I was Cecil’s locker partner in middle school and knew him from grade school. He was part of TAG class at South Albany high school and I went to the rival West Albany HS .We we’re on the same bus up to see King tut exhibit and he welcomed me to hang with some of his friends on the way up. I never laughed so hard as he and Arthur kept us all entertained.

We also ate lunch together throughout middle school with Lance Loeks, Tom Parsons,Joe Pacquin and myself. We were not popular but we enjoyed ourselves.

The world has lost a good heart.

I’m heartbroken, I just have no words. So many different memories over 43 years. I’m glad we got together a couple of months ago but I didn’t have a chance to make you another dinner of chapche and bulgogi like we discussed. 🥺😭
It’s been a long time, but ever since I became Cecil’s friend in high school, I have considered him one of the best people I’ve ever known. The world is dimmer without him in it and I’m deeply sorry to hear this news.

So many good stories. What a genuinely great guy. Cecil, you will always be missed.
