My sincere condolences to Paul, Kristin, Craig and  Cece's many friends. We had many good times in Homestead. I missed her so much when she moved to Alaska but she was always "in" for new adventures.

Dear Kirsten, Paul & family,

My sincere condolences for the loss of your mom, Cecilia. We were colleagues for Haslett Public Scools. The obituary, pics, & videos were beautiful 💕 May these precious memories wrap you in comfort in the days ahead. We will remember her smiles, upbeat manner, & love she shared each day. Take care…

Sincerely, Luisa DeBlasio

Cece, I'll miss you on the Camano pickleball courts, your energy, your sense of humor, your smile, your laugh, your positive attitude, not to mention your skill, you hit some awesome shots!!

You will live in my memory forever, your determination will remind me to keep active and keep playing sports as I get older.

Thanks, it is an honor to have known you......, love ya..........

Cece was a hoot on the pickleball court. She was so much fun & always positive whether on the court or facing her illness.

Another special talent of hers was knowing all the words to every oldies song. The music would play and she’d be singing along never missing a beat. She was always fun and I’ll miss her a lot.

Cece was the most friendly and kind welcomer to newbies like myself to the Camano/Stanwood Pickleball Club as well as an instant friend. I loved her free, carefree spirit belting out  Rock jingle oldies while playing the game if the moment struck her. Love and miss you dear friend Cece!
My husband and I met CeCe two years ago on the Camano pickleball courts. She made us feel so welcome and her love for the sport wore off on us. We will miss her and her spirit will live in our heart forever.
What a delightful Woman! Once in 2018, when a pickleball shot was missed, she looked at me and asked, "Did I have a stroke"? She will be missed!
CeCe was acceptance, positivity and love, despite her health issues. I can’t help but smile when I think of CeCe!  We need more in the world like her; we need to learn from her “making lemonade out of lemons”,  when times are not easy. I’ve known CeCe just a few years through Pickleball.  My condolences to her family… a huge loss!

CeCe lit up the entire court just with her presence! She was one of my first partners when I joined the club. It was CeCe who kept telling me to just have fun-the most important part of pickleball! What a positive force!
My thoughts and prayers to Cece’s family during this time. Cece was a light and fire wherever she would go. Her attitude and welcoming spirit made it so easy for her to make new friends. She helped teach me how to play pickleball. Cece will be forever in my heart.
Thank you, Cece for your inspiration and friendship.  You’re one of a kind.

2023 Camano Cup Pickleball Tournament - "I'm alive I tell you!" CeCe
CeCe, as we called her at Camano Pickleball, was an inspiration and light. She taught me pickleball in January 2018 at the YMCA Stanwood. She always had a smile and a kind word for all. A truly remarkable person.
Oh Cece you will be so missed, yet remembered for how many lives you have changed for the better. All your students and friends will keep you in their hearts, as will I.
Play mah-jongg with my mother in law Dianne Swenson who also recently passed. Dianne looked so forward to her friend Cecelia coming over and playing with her. she is missed very much!
I loved helping out in her classroom after Highschool was out at a time when Haslett still had winter camp I was one of the counselors for Ralya that week and met some real cool kids from her classroom that year and I stayed on with it for the rest of the school year to hang out with the kids as many times as I could. She was a great person to get advice from and I will never forget her. I am truly sorry for your loss! I still had reached out throughout my college years just to check up with her because my mom was a Haslett teacher as well and I made the rounds because teachers like her made a lasting impression and impact on shaping whom I became in my life. She was truly exceptional and extraordinary and she will be missed!❤️
I will always remember Mrs. Fortino as my favorite teacher. My sister and I each had her for 5th grade in Haslett many years ago. The magic in her classroom was so apparent! She instilled a love for learning in all of her students, which is a gift that keeps on giving. The love and compassion she showed for her students inspired us both to become teachers. Our hearts are with your family and we are so sorry for your huge loss.
My favorite teacher, she was so wonderful, kind, and patient. She truly cared about her students and it really showed. Sending hugs and love to her family.

Dear Kristin and Paul,

So sorry to hear about your mother. My condolences to both of you and your families. Lovely memorial that you wrote.

I met Cecelia through my sister Karen. She was so friendly and happy when we spent time together at the lake. Cecelia taught me the importance of positive affirmations and I am forever grateful.  My condolences to her family and friends.
She was a wonderful teacher who changed my life. I was shy, and she helped me come out of my shell so we could have more fun 🤩 I remember we all got to take a ride in her convertible and sang the new Cher album 😂 which was the epitome of cool in the early 00s!
