Well just crashed my first funeral! Should have read a little more! We (Ginger Barkley Barnettt) went to Elliott’s. Then rushed to Crossroads! Only to find out services were at Union Valley Bible Church! So sorry we missed the service and giving our personal condolences. Looked so forward to seeing Shelli and Vicki! You are in our hearts and prayers. As classmates your always distantly close. You cherish those years and all you high school memories. Some you keep in touch with and some you think of here and there! But you always have that connection. Such a huge loss!

I have so many memories of Candi it is hard to pick one or even a few. Always ready with a joke, story or her contagious laugh, she made everyone around her smile or laugh as well. Junior high and high school would not have been the same without her. I feel so blessed to have had her as a friend.

Although we hadn't seen each other for quite some time, I saw her in June and we laughed and joked like no time had passed. I will always cherish this time and the hug we shared.

Candi was a true and genuine person. She had a light of joy inside her that she shared with everyone she met. The world is a little less bright without her. Let us each be a light to shine in her memory.

My deepest condolences to the Wineland family. You have always made me feel like I am part of your family and I thank you for that honor.

Love you all!

These last weeks, I’ve been cherishing the memories made sharing a job with Candi at Indian Hill Elementary School. Candi & I spent hours analyzing playground dramas (kids who had to shoot one more basket after the whistle blew, persisted in running the wrong way UP the slide to escape being “tagged”, or complained about “unfair” calls in gaga or kickball—you know who you are!) and lunchroom chaos (Election Day debates, table captain duties, & microwave misuse—remember the chocolate chip cookie fire?). Our conversations easily filled the 5-mile walks we took with Finn. I saw Candi’s humility, sincerity & thoughtful concern for others up close. Candi lived many of the values we all strive for—I was blessed to share my time & concerns with someone so sensible & dedicated.

While Heaven is certainly rejoicing, our communities bear the loss of her wise & steady presence. Love & prayers to all who are missing Candi.

Jen and Jeff Davis

I will forever remember Candi for her huge heart, love of Finn and my Charlotte, and especially her love she showered on Ava!  She was the most present and genuine person always interested in others and never focused on herself.  I am forever grateful for her presence in our lives.

One of the many times Candi took our friends out to do something fun. She was the sweetest, most kind hearted person and will be forever missed.

My sincerest condolences to the Wineland and Dalton families for the loss of your beloved Candi. I can honestly say she is one of the nicest, kindest and most genuine human beings I have ever met. Whether if it was the cheers from the stands during our basketball games or that bright smile greeting me with her enthusiastic “HEY, MAN!!!!!!”  Candi’s presence  and conversations were always heart felt and most welcoming whenever our paths crossed. She will always be a true blessing to our IH community, indeed. I wish you peace and strength as you not only celebrate the life she loved, but also the life she is living in eternal peace with our Lord and savior.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers,

-Jonathan Cobb

Candi was a kind and gentle person with a beautiful heart. I am one of the lucky ones on this earth to have known Candi.  I enjoyed those moments in the hallway chatting with her as she attended to Fin. I treasure those family dinners playing games, telling stories and laughing till we had tears in our eyes when she imitated Shelli. She always gave of herself to others and was the a perfect sister, daughter and Aunt. What will always warm my heart is seeing her qualities in William and Bentley,  one of her greatest legacies. We love you Candi, may you Rest In Peace  🙏❤️
I was so lucky that the Wineland family allowed me to tag along with them to horse shows, trail rides, and helped me to learn about animals. Candi and Shelli let me ride horses with them while Vicki did my mom’s hair in her salon. Those two sisters had the most infectious laughs, and they were both fearless!  What a loving and hard-working family. Ed gave me an old turkey trophy that I used for a white elephant gift at Christmas time. It was the MOST popular gift at the party. I have so many great memories of your family, and I am so very sad to hear about Candi’s passing. When I think of her, it will always bring a smile. 💖
