We are so sorry for this tragic loss. We only met a couple of years ago through our boys but Ben always had a smile on his face and our conversations were full of kindness and humor. Owen has a very special place in his heart for Ben and especially loves how he always plays games with him and Scott when he is over. And he always shares stories of Ben's favorite sports teams with us. We are praying for peace and healing for all through this painful time.
To Aprilanne and all the family, my heart is full of sympathy and love for you all. I remember the wonderful time in New York with the Sweats, Thomases, and Shoemakers for Michael's wedding. It was special time for all. Ben was a special man whose influence will always be felt by those who were lucky enough to know him. Aprilanne, I 'm always here for you and your family if you need anything. Love you all.
Ben is one of the finest souls I’ve had the privilege to know on this earth. Good, smart, so fun to be around. I will miss my friend. Our hearts and prayers are with the entire family.
To my sweet Aprilanne and your beautiful family. Words cannot begin to describe the shock and sadness I feel.
Ben was always a beacon of light for me and everyone around him. His mind was brilliant. There wasn’t anything that I didn’t think he could think of in that brilliant mind of his.
I am so sorry for the pain and sorrow you all are in at this time.
Aprilanne I have known you since you were a teenager. Your parents are a treasure to me, as well. I love you darling.
Please reach out to me if I can be of any help to you all.
I love you all from the bottom of my heart. I travel to Texas frequently. My husband lives in Fort Worth. I miss you all darling. Love Tanya Vreeken and family 🥲😇🙏🏻❤️
Shocked doesn't begin to describe it. Ben was one of the 2 young uncles that everyone looked up to. He had a contagious energy and charisma that people loved. He was always on to another big thing. I remember when he had a better Google and then Google somehow implemented the ideas he had shown me. I remember the iPad game made with Pixar animators, among others. He was always so funny and full of life. I'm so sorry for this tremendous loss. Know you are all loved.
We were playing paintball with all of the uncles and cousins. Ben's CO2 was cranked up the whole game (I remember because he got me in the back like 5 times the match before) and I peer out of a window of this abandoned house and who is right below aiming up? Shot in the neck with no barrier from maybe 3 feet away. He felt so bad about it we had to stop for the day.
