Audrey's obituary
THIS WEBSITE IS A TRIBUTE TO AUDREY AND IS IN PLACE OF A SERVICE:
WHO WAS AUDREY:
• A woman who loved her God
• 70 years later still madly in love with that “cute boy” of only 19 years
• Accomplished pianist - as a child she was eligible to go to Juilliard but refused because she never liked being the center of attention. So the church got a great pianist. Bible studies taught by Frank had Audrey composing praise music to play on the portable electric piano
• “Prayer Warrior” - she kept a notebook of prayer requests so she never missed praying for the many who reached out to her and so that she could pray specifically
• Frank’s “emotional meter” and right hand at Bible studies. Behind the scenes she would let Frank know who was feeling what and who needed extra care so that he could focus on teaching. They were quite a team.
• Teacher - Women’s Bible studies, Sunday school, Vacation Bible School
• Summa Cum Laude graduate of Davis College (Rutgers) with a major in English and minor is Spanish.
• During college she lived in a “Spanish only” dorm and was fluent in Spanish.
WHO WAS MOM TO ME by Audrey’s daughter Ginia:
• The person who rubbed my back every night until I fell asleep
• A super organized person who had me memorize hundreds of Bible verses and had a complex system of reviewing them. I still have most of them memorized
• The woman who sat in the YMCA pool area for hours and weeks while I tried to get over my fear of diving
• Someone who showed me what real prayer is by doing it and including me in it in ways a child could relate to
• My Norwegian Mom who taught me how to make all the specialty Norwegian cookies and breads at Christmas
• In the last 4 years she lived with me, she was the one I laughed with when we talked about our husbands and how much we loved them and how they sometimes made us crazy

ABOUT THE LASTING TRIBUTE TO AUDREY:
My parents moved to NC to live in our home for 4 years. In the last few months, their needs were greater than could be met in a home setting. Rose Hill has been a safe place for them that could meet their growing needs. In the time that my parents have been at Rose Hill, I have been touched by the care and genuine love they have shown Mom and Dad.
A piano will be a lasting tribute to Audrey that can be enjoyed by Rose Hill residents. If there are extra funds, they will go towards activity related items for the residents of Rose Hill.
As you know, Frank passed recently, 12 days before Audrey. There is a similar fund set up in his name. The piano will be dedicated to both Frank and Audrey.
