A gentle man to the core. Not a word of anger. Always words of peace and love. A kind and God fearing man. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
As an alumnus of Molusi Colle…

As an alumnus of Molusi College and a distinguished Rotarian, Pa AAA combined the values of Molusianism expressed in being the best, and integrity and leadership.

In all his relationships, with both the old and young alike, he demonstrated unusual love and kindheartedness.

To his last days, he was active in both organisations, being a regular attendee of Rotary International Conventions in and outside of the US.

His loving thoughts and what he stood for will continue to linger in our memories.

TRIBUTES FROM MEMBERS OF OLUYOLE CLUB, LAGOS IN HONOUR OF ENGR (DR.) A. A. A. OYETUNJI

What a sad news. Engr Oyetunji was a committed member of the club and a true son of Ona Ara. His Kate Katose family was one of the earliest donors of N1million to the Ona Ara Scholarship Fund and was planning to do more. This is a great loss to Oluyole Club and to Ona Ara LG. May God comfort his family and grant his soul a peaceful rest. Prof Olukunle Iyanda

It is with heartfelt sadness that I read about the demise of late Engr A Ashimiyu Oyetunji. He was indeed and throughout his lifetime a devoted, committed and active member of Oluyole Club, Lagos. Even when he relocated to the USA, he remained a constant voice in the affairs of the Club. He was a thorough breed professional with a dynamic and baffling Zest and a perfect gentleman to wit. He was a religious exemplar and a conscientious believer with Islamic fervour. The late Dr Chief Ashimiyu Oyetunji was a social mobilizer of some sort but (certainly not given to political bigotry of any kind) and related very well and with respect to all members and particularly to younger members by constantly inquiring about their well-being and progress in their professional callings. And this knew no boundaries on account of age, religion and stations in life. He would always be remembered for his well-lived life of respect, modesty, tolerance and decency. May his kind soul rest in peace.
Mogaji (Sir) Wale Kolapo. (Past General Secretary,1992-1995)

Whao ! ! !. Dr. Engr. A. A. A. Oyetunji of Shell Petroleum of those days is gone. Very committed, highly organised, deeply religious and inspirationally patriotic. He was one of the many professional members that we, the young folks of OCL of the early 90s, were praying to reach their levels in future. Now, he has completed the task which his Creator sent him to do. May his clean soul rest in perfect peace. Amen. Chief Yemi Soladoye.

Chief Dr. Engr. A. A. A. Oyetunji, also known as Tripple A, was a jolly good fellow. He was committed to the service of Oluyole Club, Lagos. He was a member of the Scholarship Committee of the Club for many years. He also participated with others to produce a paper on behalf of the club on the Strategies for job creation for the unemployed in Oyo State which was presented to the Governor, Alhaji Lam Adesina in November, 1999. He was our Honorary Welfare Secretary for many years and applied the 'Mogaji system" to reach our members in every nook and cranny of Lagos. Alhaji was a good family man. Alhaji and Alhaja visited my daughter in Somerset, Kenturky to check on her about three years ago. May God grant his gentle and lovely soul eternal rest. Amen. Oluniyi Fatokun. President, Oluyole Club, Lagos.

The transition of Engr A. A. A. Oyetunji was a terrible loss not only to his family and Oluyole Club but also a big loss to Ibadan. From his days as one of the first Nigerian Engineers in Shell Petroleum, the development of Ibadanland and Ibadan Indigenes had always been his major concern.

He was very serviceable not only in Oluyole Club, Lagos but he was also a member of some other Ibadan Indigenous Associations. Despite his qualifications and position, he never showed any signs of pride and importance. His passion for the Development of Ibadanland did not wane even when he was in America. He was Simplicity defined. Anytime he is in Nigeria, he would never miss any of the monthly meetings of Oluyole Club, Lagos.

We thank God for his well-lived life and wish him a good rest in Aljanah.
For his large family left behind, God Almighty will grant them fortitude to bear the loss and help them to continue the good works of our great Oluyole Club member.
God Almighty will fill the void his passage must have left.
Engr. Lanre Adewolu

The announcement of the passing away of Late Engineer Oyetunji came with a rude shock. He was a committed member of Oluyole Club, Lagos. He took part in most meetings online because he resided abroad. Ever so cheerful, accommodating and reliable. May his soul rest in Perfect peace. Amen. May God console his Family and empower them to bear the loss. Amen.
Professor Adeniyi Osuntogun, OFR.

Engr. A. A. A. Oyetunji, an Electrical Engineer who retired from Shell. A muslim of repute and a worthy Alhaji. A lover of Ibadan, who became a Chief during the reign of Oba Ogundipe. Our path first crossed at The Polytechnic, Ibadan Alumni Association. He was among the eminent personalities that finished at the then Technical College, Ibadan that later became The Polytechnic, Ibadan. He was our Trustee and a Patron. May his soul RIP. Sola Fatoki
The late Dr A. A. A. Oyetunji, was (a) humble (b) a family man and (c) a just & fair minded Ibadan man.
Although I personally wrote the SMALL SCALE PROJECT REPORT, on behalf of Oluyole Club, based on my experience at Nigeria Industrial Development Bank( now Bank of Industry), the Doctor was very humble to read the DRAFT, submitted to him, as the Chairman of the Committee, word for word; sentence by sentence; paragraph by paragraph. At the end, the report was detailed; factual and useful, as acknowledged by the then Governor of Oyo State himself.

The Doctor is, surely, a family man. He approached me when he wanted to sell his SMALL-SCALE WOOD & CARPENTRY BUSINESS. Even when we are still looking for a buyer, he has prepared a list of individuals he will settle, financially, after the sale. The Doctor was a fair-minded Ibadan man.
He was always checking on my family in the USA. His former colleagues in SHELL, living with me, here in Ajao Estate, Lagos, (Mrs. S. K. Daniel's, etc), also confirmed his high level of professionalism at work.
Indeed, an Iroko tree has fallen.

Good night, Doctor.

A tribute to a great Engineer: A man whose love for engineering, mathematics, science, is only surpassed by his love for his family and friends and his faith in Allah. May his soul rest in peace Amen.

May the great man rest in peace. He left us a great legacy in his children especially and we are grateful. May God comfort all. Marsha from Zimbabwe
It is with deep sadness and pain that I and my family received the shocking news about Baba, our Landlord's passing. We have known Baba for the past seven years since we moved into his property in Agbowo, Ibadan. My fondest memories of him were each of the times he visited Nigeria and was in Ibadan. I was his "internet and data guru." He was an easy-going, peace-loving, and empathetic Landlord. When we had a licking roof, and we complained, he followed it up and ensured that the carpenter fixed it before the rains came. In 2023 December, he was around and celebrated Yuletide with us. He is so concerned about the welfare of his tenants and made life easy for us all.We will surely miss Baba, his easygoing personality will be missed too. He will be missed by my daughters who always loved to play with him whenever he was around. We pray that the Almighty God will comfort his wife, immediate family, and indeed all his relatives including his tenants. May the peace of the Almighty God rest upon all of us he has left behind and may His soul rest in peace. AmenDr. & Mrs. Abel Obosi

Farewell tribute to my dear Dr. Sim Oyetunji.

I thank the Almighty God for a life well spent, before you bid the world goodbye at a ripe old age. You were a symbol of Love to God and humanity. Gentle, extremely supportive to all things that are good, bold and a relentless strong believer in the Islamic faith. You remained a true Muslim until your last breath!

You never judge other faiths with unfair contempt, nor covet the success or status of others, for the moments, seasons, and chances we encounter are all shaped by the will of the Almighty.

A great father and grandfather who loved his family so dearly. You lived a glorious and exemplary life worthy of emulation. A genius Electrical Engineer and succinct Administrator. A wonderful Community leader. You have fought the good fight; you have finished the race and have kept the faith. Continue to rest in the bosom of Allah. May your soul rest in peace! Amen.

My deepest condolences to your darling wife Alhaja Adikat Oyetunji, your lovely Children and Grandchildren. The Almighty God will keep and watch over them all. We all miss you. Adieu!

- Tim Olulola (Fadipe)

My heartfelt feelings doesn't allow me to know where and how to start.....

My father,My Uncle, My mentor, one of the hands that fed me from birth.

I first came in contact with you in my life through picture shown above. Barely four months when you left Nigeria for USA in the sixties my mummy who is your jnr sister gave birth to a baby boy named Moruff Ademola writing this tribute, you sent the aforementioned picture with the intention that it should be shown to me as am growing,if Allah will we will both live to know each other in person, Praise be to Allah for answered prayer,we were alive together for units of decades, your intimidating reputation did not prevent you from doing this, what a brilliant way of tying the family cord

You were always there for me while growing,

I will never forget your efforts to secure a good job for me after graduation.

Your fatherly advise when i changed job is memorable.

You always welcome birth of my children with care and love as a grandpa, this make the children endear themselves to you.

My mother's song since you left always touches me emotionally "Ti ko ba si ti Amoo bi eru ni n ba ma se...." Meaning"if not for Amoo i would have been leaving like slave...."

You left good and memorable marks in many lives, for all these and more 'am praying for all you left behind Wife, Children, all surviving members of the family and friends, may Allah SWT console us, be with us, grant us long life filled with good health and prosperous living Aameen.

In loving memory of Alhaji A. A. Oyetunji

The first time I visited his apartment with my then fiancee turned wife, Alhaji made me felt as if I am in front of FBI as he asked me questions I never expected in one sitting. He like documentations and I am sure people would be surprised to gather valuable info from his archives. May God forgives his shortcomings and grant his soul eternal rest.

Dr. Sim Oyetunji was a very humble father-like boss years back. Hecwas a great mentor who developed and guided those worked with him. He was incorrigible, a very good time manager, thorough and professional at work but very pleasant to relate with socially out of work.

We had been in intermittent email contact and his demise is a great loss.

I wish mummy and the family God's comfort and care.

Doctor Oyetunji was an incorruptible leader , loved by many for being straightforward , hated by many who have corruption running in their bloodstream.  Rest In Peace Doctor.
Dr (Chief) A. A. Oyetunji aka Triple A was a wonderful boss and father to all of us in Estate & Logistics Department in Shell Lagos. A thoroughbred professional and  mentor who I personally looked up to. We celebrated his retirement from Shell and we also went enmase to celebrate his chieftaincy in Ibadan several years ago. He was in his usual element; cool, calm and unassuming. I will personally miss him and I feel bad that I was unable to visit him in the US as I promised Baba TOS Olulola (Fadipe) who gave me Dr's US contact last year. I pray Allah grant him Aljannah Firdaus, Amin.

Engr Dr Asimiyu Akinade ("Sim") was a colleague in Shell Nigeria. We walked closely together at a point in Lagos. He was always a pleasant, complete gentleman, a conscientious, hard-working and very friendly colleague, always calm and collected.

My heartfelt condolence goes to his family.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I knew Pa Oyetunji during my days as Uber driver, I remember that faithful day at Lekki phase 1, opposite GTB where I parked at about 10PM when he came to meet me that he needed a cab to take him to the airport when he wanted to return to U.S, I was so impressed with his approach, we went together to his house where we parked his load into the car and drove to MMIA. We discussed through out the journey as if he has known me for decades and since then we always communicate on regular basis, I learned a lot of things from Pa Oyetunji among which is humility.

I pray may God grant him eternal rest and fill whatever vacuum he has left behind.

May Allah give Alhaji enginer (Dr) Asimiyu Oyetunji Fidau alijanna( internet rest) . So religious when he was alive
We have lost a great man of all positive descriptions. SIM as call & addressed was a friend & brother. The Lord God blessed him with intellect & extreme humility. All of our colleagues in Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited (SPDC) will feel this loss. A perfect gentleman & Rotarian. We always met at Rotary conventions after we parted in Shell. For not seeing me & my wife in Germany one year he stop his journey in London to search for us. What a sacrifice in a bitting winter to find out why we didn’t attend. The Lord God will judge him mercifully. May his soul RIP.
I was oppotuned to meet Alhaji Oyetunji about 4 years ago, during those moments I spent with him, his actions made me appreciate Islam and challenged me to be a better muslim. May Allah SWT grant Alhaji Oyetunji Aljannah Firdaus.
