In Loving Memory of Anthony “Tony” Wong

April 30, 1942 – July 22, 2025

Anthony “Tony” Wong passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born on April 30, 1942, Tony lived a full and generous life, touching everyone who knew him. He married his beloved wife, Tyssen "Ty" Lee, in 1963, and together they raised two children, Michelle and Michael. He was a devoted grandfather to Gabrielle, Dominic, and Nicholas—his spirit and the joy he brought to their lives will continue to guide and inspire them.

A man of faith, Tony lived with quiet strength and steady devotion.  

Tony began his career with Ralphs grocery stores, where he worked for over 20 years before answering a deeper calling to serve others. That calling led him to nursing, and at LAC+USC Medical Center, he spent two decades providing care with sharp instincts and steady dedication.

His nurturing spirit extended to all living things. He cultivated life from the earth with a gifted green thumb, and he showed that same quiet compassion to animals, looking after the stray cats who came to his door and making sure they were always cared for.

We carry him in our hearts with deep gratitude for the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, at Forest Lawn – Covina (21300 Via Verde St., Covina, CA 91724). The service will take place outdoors at the Niche site from 12:00 to 12:30 PM.

Following the service, we will gather for lunch at Town Sent Seafood Restaurant (1069 W San Bernardino Rd., Covina, CA 91722)—one of Tony’s favorite spots. If you plan to attend, please RSVP so we can confirm the headcount with the restaurant.
