I am saddened to hear about Anne's passing. She was a regular volunteer at local food distributions and pop-up food shelves. She would voluntarily take ownership of specific food items that we had excess of each week, and she would encourage people to take it home and try a new recipe. She would interact with each family, explaining what the food was, and how she likes to prepare it. Kale, turnips, marshmallow - you name it, and Anne had ideas on how to make it tasty.
She brought so much joy and kindness each time she volunteered. She will be greatly missed.

Anne was special on so many ways, whether feeding my mind, my spirit, or my stomach! We watched shooting stars at the campground together and later enjoyed the lake and sunset at my house. Anne brought food to gatherings here and treated my kitchen as hers, including cleanup! So many people's lives are richer for having known Anne.

To Anne’s Family: I am so sorry for your loss. Anne’s legacy lives on in her friends, former colleagues, and students. Her impact was grand and beautiful. She is a part of who I am today. She made me a better teacher, opened my eyes to more books, shared her love for travel, and kept me fed in the food and recipes she shared. I am grateful and lucky. Anne was a mentor and a friend - but so much more to me. She was loved and she loved. Always in my heart, Jill Baumtrog Holz

Anne was a great teacher, mentor, colleague and friend. She taught our 2 sons and I was lucky enough to travel with her to Italy to visit our daughter when she was studying abroad. I will forever cherish that trip. We put on a whole lot of steps, laughed together and learned things along the way. She showed great patience traveling me! We shared many recipes and gardening tips and she really enjoyed our family maple syrup 🍁 Such a loss. My heart ❤️ is with everyone whose lives she touched.

My condolences to Anne's family. I first met Anne while working as a Customer Service Agent at Delta Airlines in the Unaccompanied Minor program. We became fast friends when she came back from furlough. As time went by she became like a mother/older sister that I needed. Let me stay at her house when the weather was bad because I lived almost 2 hrs away from work and I drive everyday back/forth. She knew I couldnt afford to rent or stay at a hotel. She even made sure I was fed and even packs me lunch in her cute containers. By the way, Anne's got all the cute gadgets in her kitchen. She always knew when I needed comforting. Would let me talk and talk forever because she knew I had no one to cry to. I will surely miss her with all my heart.
Thank you for your friendship Anne.
