My condolences to Anna's family. I became acquainted with Anna through Jim, he and I have been neighbors for nearly 40 years. Anna lived just a couple of blocks away. During my walks, I’d often see her out on her porch writing cards for her church. I’d stop to talk and we would share stories about our families and God. Anna was always upbeat. When she moved, I’d visit her on occasion.
Anna was a great neighbor and friend., she’ll be missed.
We are so very sorry that we cannot make it to the church service that you have planned for Aunt Anna. She was such a nice person and even though we did not see her this past few years she will be missed. Please know that we are thinking of all of you at this time.
Anna was a very nice person. She and my wife used to correspond after we moved until my wife died 8/21.Anna was a very active person. We looked forward to her yearly reports about her activity's. I was going to send her a notification about my Kathys passing 3/30/25 from breast cancer. Lisa I think she was in your year. I live alone in South Mississippi with my 5 house cats. Not too far age wise behind your Mom. I'll be 88 in Dec.
Aunt Anna was always thoughtful in sending cards for birthdays and various holidays throughout the year. We shared a love of birds and birding, so many of those cards featured beautiful birds. I saved all of them and hung them up on bulletin boards in my classroom and put them under glass on my desk. Every time I they caught my attention, I was reminded of her thoughtfulness and love of nature. She will be missed.
Anna was special to our family. She served as a "friend in faith" to our daughter Sarah during her confirmation process, and in a sense, she became a friend in faith to us all. I was always happy to give Anna rides to the annual women's retreat in Wisconsin (pre-pandemic, of course), as we would chat about so many things: family, current events, church news, etc. We are going to miss her.
We met Anna when my adult children (3) attended Pilgrim Nursery School in the 1980's. She was a calm, reassuring teacher who helped all 3 of my children to adjust and thrive at the nursery school. As time went on we would see her at the Farmer's Market where we would catch up on her varied activities. On one occasion her class ( with Mary Cullen) walked to our nearby house and I recently found a picture of them sitting in our backyard. We have fond memories of our time at Pilgrim and meeting and working with Anna will be one of them. Our sincere sympathies to you all
