I sent Amber a text early this afternoon to check in and make plans for coffee soon. When I didn’t hear back I got sick to my stomach. I am so devastated to learn of her passing. I was privileged enough to be her mentor through her cancer diagnosis and treatment. We quickly became friends because, well, it’s very hard not to want to be friends with her. She was such a beaming light of positivity & such a joy to be around. She talked about her family, her husband, and told me sweet stories of her kiddos. We shared travel stories, cancer treatment stories, chemo tricks, and advice.

Through her entire cancer fight she kept a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She constantly asked how I was doing and checked in on me, even though she was the one fighting. She had such a huge heart. I’m so incredibly grateful to have known her. I’m going to miss her so very much. 🩷
