Dear Linda,

I have been thinking about Allen over these past days and remembering how he was quick to laugh, how welcoming and generous he always was, how his energy and positive vibe filled the room, and how he added so much wisdom to every conversation. I cannot imagine the huge hole he leaves in your family, but his was a beautiful life, and yours was a beautiful life together.  May sweet memories and loving family and friends comfort you and hold you tight during this sad and difficult time. Jimmy and I will miss him and we send our love and hugs and prayers. We are grateful for the good times we shared with him and with you both.

Dear Linda and family,

I was saddened to hear about Allen’s death. I have such fond memories of him from our time at CASBS and other times when our paths crossed. I particularly remember his patience when he gave impromptu salsa dancing lessons for remedial learners at one of the Center events! I know how hard it is to lose a life-long spouse and the pain of dealing with their illness. I send you and your family my thoughts for peace and healing at this time and during the coming months.
