Aaron was a wonderful man. Some of my favorite childhood memories include sitting around the Mitchell dining room table and listening to the witty debates the Mitchell children were having. No matter what the conversation was, it usually always ended with a victory for Aaron.  Unless Micah wouldn’t let him have it. Then it would end in a wrestling match, and still as a victory for Aaron. Growing up, I was so enamored to watch how Aaron loved and cared for his sisters. He was so warm and comforting to be around, and his love for them was big and great. He was a protector and a true friend to them, and always the most perfect big brother. There have been countless times I watched them go to him for advice and comfort, and he was always full of the most perfect advice. Growing up, everything was always so much more exciting when we found out Aaron was going to take us and that didn’t change when we got older. Everything was more fun when he was around. He was so funny, and I loved the sly way he could tease you, sometimes it was so clever that if it wasn’t for the smirk on his face you might have missed it. That’s a quality he learned from his dad. My favorite thing about him is how fiercely he loved his family. When he loved you, you knew it, and so did everyone else in the room. I admired how much he loved his Momma, and I hope one day my son will love me that greatly. He was gentle, and kind. My life has truly been blessed because the Mitchell children were apart of it, and I will forever treasure the memories I have with Aaron. My deepest sympathies go out to you all, especially his beautiful wife and son. I am praying for you all. I bet when Mrs. Ivy saw him, she had a long list of people he had to meet! Someday when we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. I love you all.

My deepest condolences go out to all of Aaron's loved ones!  Aaron was the most kind and humble Christian man that I have ever met!  My family has known him for most of his life, and we have fond memories of him  He is with Jesus now, and that is the most important thing. We are praying for your all, but especially for his wife and son! I really appreciate his service to our country! We will always love him! May the Lord grant you His Peace! I Corinthians 15:51-54.   Brother and Mrs. Edward Lee Taylor, Sr. and Family
Dr. Mitchell, Ms. Mitchell, Micah, Alyssa & Callie - Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am to hear about the loss of Aaron. I have so, so many fond memories of Aaron and your family. A lot of which are playing in the street, or him just completing whooping me at basketball. Growing up with him was truly a blessing. It was an honor seeing him grow up to be such an amazing father, husband, brother, son and all around human being. I am sending you all my thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. His spirit will continue to live on and through his son, and he will never be forgotten.

Our hearts are broken at the news of Aaron’s passing. I can still see all the children standing outside the church laughing. Our prayers and love are extended to the family.  The Reynolds
