This was really shocking. Praying for strength for the family during this difficult time.

My sincerest condolences and continuous prayers to all the Hackett Family. “To God we belong and to God we shall return”. Ameen

Sending our deepest condolences to the Hackett Family. It's so incredibly sad to hear this news. From our GSB days to Scott recently connecting with Aaron with his work at Sawa, Aaron was always ready with a bright smile and a generous spirit. He will be missed.

Professor Hackett will be missed! His classes were so engaging-- he excelled in using real world examples to help students learn concepts. I always looked forward to attending his classes, and I use concepts he taught me in my career daily! Grateful that he shared his passion with the GT community 🐝 My thoughts and prayers are with the Hackett family.
I am so sad to hear about Aaron, such a kind, brilliant soul.  Sending prayers to Ingrid & the entire family.
Oh Aaron, you have left us way too early my friend. I will miss our high-energy conversations about sales, marketing, teaching, and sports. You will never be forgotten in the hearts of all of those you touched. Keep smiling on your beautiful family up there, you did great.

It's been a week since my brother Mogbeyi ( Mogy) shared the sad news with me, still have a hard time processing this. I reminisce on those Knoxville days,  remembering the Hacketts -a beautiful family, good people, good souls. My deepest condolences to all of you.

"Rest in peace Aaron. You are gone far too soon!" ☀️🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

I am so sorry to hear about Professor Hackett's passing. He was truly a great professor. He loved to share his love for learning and marketing to inspire each student. I think about his class often. He will be deeply missed at Scheller. I'm sending my prayers to his family. Rest in peace, Professor Hackett!!
My condolences to Professor Hackett’s family and loved ones. Aaron was such a thoughtful and caring professor and I’m so happy to have crossed paths with him. I had the pleasure of taking his Intro Marketing class and kept in touch afterward. He was always so open and willing to go out of his way to help with projects outside of his own classes. I’ll always think of how he helped save my consulting practicum by giving me a mini Strategic Brand Management crash course which ultimately shaped our final recommendation. He truly cared for his students and will be so missed by myself and the entire Scheller community.
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Professor Hackett. He was a wonderful teacher and person. He made each student feel known and valued. I am praying for his family and loved ones in this difficult time.

Aaron,

I am blessed to have known you. I will miss you for your spirit and THAT laugh. Man! I first met you working in Multicultural Marketing’s - “The Pitt” and I have never known anyone as committed to bettering themselves and those around them as you. You were our inspirational leader and master of ceremonies. You kept us in stitches with your smart insights and jokes. I became a better person both personally and professionally thanks to you. Thank you. I love you, brother. RIP and blessings to your family.

Aaron and I shared several light-hearted conversations as we prepared to teach at about the same time in the evenings. Over time, I learned about his extensive experience in brand management, his highly-rated book, and how much his students appreciated and respected him. I will truly miss conversations with Aaron, and all of us at Scheller will miss an exemplary colleague. I wish Ingrid, Nadia, Naomi, Aaron Jr., and the rest of Aaron's family courage and solace.
Condolences to Ingrid and the entire Hackett family.  I am saddened to hear of my friend's passing.  Aaron was a good man whom I respected and admired.  I always thought he went about life, work, and family the right way.  He will be missed by many.
Condolences to the Hackett Family. I didn't know this brother but after reading this it seems he was a stalwart in education with a deep love for life and his people. RWG, Brother. Ase!
This man was the reason I applied to Tech for my MBA. I sat in on one of his lectures as part of a guest student event for potential applicants trying to get a feel for the evening program and it was incredible. Within the first five minutes professor Hackett addressed the class by saying "we treat our guests like we treat each other and they're going to get involved in today's lecture." And we did.. We were in this class all of 10 minutes and we started conversing with each other and started to form a group to bring a strategy pitch for a real company that was struggling as part of their class assignment. The point here was professor Hackett made his mark on me in 5 minutes. I later went on to apply and gratefully was accepted and I took Hackett's Marketing Management class in the first semester. He was an incredible professor and brilliant marketer. I will forever be inspired by his teaching, insights, experience, and his spirit.
I was so saddened to hear about Aaron. I remember him from high school and our time in SECME. Aaron was always a kind and intelligent human. I am praying for his family and friends, and you have my sincerest condolences.

This loss is a hard one to take in. After many years since our GSB experience, I reconnected with Aaron in recent years through his work at our  housing finance startup venture, and it was such a treat to cross paths with him again. What a wonderful remarkable person and spirit. I will miss him and my heart breaks for his wife and children and of course for Darrell and the entire family.

I’m sad to see you go brother, the world will be a less rich place in your absence. 💔

My heart is broken and I'm without words. Praying for comfort, peace and strength to endure this heavy time of grieve for his beautiful wife, children and extended family and friends. Aaron and I met at Procter & Gamble. Even through our journey after P&G and into entrepreneurship - he was always about serving, supporting and uplifting anyone he touched. I'm grateful to have known you Aaron and I'm so sad to see this day come.
Wow!! I am truly saddened by this news!! My sincerest condolences to his family and all who knew and loved Aaron! Aaron and I were very good friends in high school during our time as students at Oak Ridge High School. We shared a lot of common interests and spent some wonderful times together. Unfortunately we lost contact upon my graduation from high school and my enlistment in the United States Air Force in 1987. We spoke briefly via Social Media over the years and we were trying to reconnect over the most recent holiday season while I was in the Atlanta area in the midst of my Trucking duties. I am really disheartened by this news and the fact that we didn’t get to reconnect and catch up after so many years. Aaron was a kind, super intelligent and thoughtful person who I admired greatly. I will always remember all the tremendous times we shared during our formative years as teenagers! I am grateful to have known him and that he considered me as his friend! He will  be greatly missed!! I extend my heartfelt prayers and supplication now to His wife, children, parents and siblings, family members and colleagues and for all those who knew and loved him!! May he rest in peace!! Until I see you again, brother, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ!!
I am thankful for the kindness and mentorship that Aaron provided to me when we were colleagues at P&G. His positive example, brilliance, and leadership inspired me and it was so exciting to find another Black and Filipino role model. I am devastated for his loss and sending sincere wishes of love and support for his family, friends, and community.
I cried when I heard the news of Aaron's passing. Praying for the family at such a time as this. Love you, Ingrid.
Sending my love and prayers to the family and all who loved Aaron.  His bright light will continue to shine through his beautiful family…
