Monday, March 20, 2023 will be the 40th day since Zelda’s passing. In Filipino Catholic culture, the 40th day marks the final day that one’s spirit roams the earth and, with our prayer and intercession, ascends to Heaven.

Though we will not be having a large gathering for prayer on this day, it comforts us to imagine all of Zelda’s friends and family from around the world sending prayers up to Heaven, like little beams of light that can be seen only from above. Please keep Zelda in your prayers, whether that be a rosary, a novena, a simple prayer or thought that our mother rest in peace.

Have mercy on the soul of Zelda, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen

We are currently holding a Novena for the Faithful Departed. Day one began on Friday, February 10th, and the ninth and final day is on Saturday, 2/18. The prayer will take place on Zoom at 7:00 PM PST.

The ninth day will include a short 20 minute mass, then continue with the novena prayer.
