It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yun Sim "Eva" Leung, who peacefully left us on December 13, 2023. Born in 1932, Yun Sim, who was also warmly known as Eva in her church, leaves a lasting legacy of love, warmth, and community support.

Yun Sim was a dedicated attendee at the Scarborough Chinese Alliance Church, where her sociable and enthusiastic character shone through. Her faith was an integral part of her life, providing support and guidance in all her endeavors.

A committed volunteer at the Yee Hong Foundation, Yun Sim's dedication to serving others was a testament to her strong moral compass and community spirit. Her fervent volunteering efforts echoed her character, always optimistic and looking on the bright side of life.

Among Yun Sim's many accomplishments, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother, an extraordinary homemaker and a daring chef.  Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to ensuring their happiness and well-being.

Yun Sim leaves behind a legacy of community support. She believed in the power of collective effort and consistently showed up for her community and friends in times of need. Her life was a striking example of optimism, warmth, and unyielding support for those around her. Her love, warmth and unwavering support have forever left a mark on the hearts of those who knew her best. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared and lessons passed down.

A service to honour and remember Yun Sim will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre on December 22, 2023, 10:00 AM. We invite all who knew her to join us in celebrating her life and the indelible impact she had on our lives.
