Vincent's obituary

"13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." - [Philippians 3:13-14 NASB95]

By the sovereign grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our beloved son, 2nd Lt. Vincent Villuri (Sammy), was welcomed into his Father's eternal heavenly abode at the age of 21, according to God's perfect and divine plan.

From his earliest days, Vincent lived with a fearless and joyful spirit, delighting in the wonders of God Yehovah's creation. His passion for life was evident in all he pursued, always finding joy in the journey. Unafraid to test boundaries, Vincent embraced hardship and endurance as opportunities to grow closer to the Lord Yeshua, reflecting that strength and courage is from Christ alone and imparting the same to both his younger brother Joseph and sister Ruth, always to be strong and learn to endure momentary, transient pain. Especially to his sister challenging her to be stay strong as this world needs brave, strong people.

Vincent faced every challenge with unwavering trust in God Yehovah's provision—boldly displayed his faith in Jesus Christ through his actions, humility and in few words—and always lived to glorify the Lord Jesus in everything he pursued. His enthusiasm for life and faith always evident and inspired many who knew him.

Vincent always dreamed of being part of US Army from middle school onwards. This solidified as he grew up strong in faith and pursued his passion to learn God Yehovah's Word and aspired to become a US Army Chaplain, starting with a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies at The Master's University in California. As a winner of coveted ROTC scholarship, he excelled in Military Science education and leadership skills through the ROTC program at UCLA's Bruin Battalion, paving the way for his role as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. He was committed to both spiritual and military discipline which reflected in his desire to serve God Yehovah and Country.

Vincent's love for this great nation USA was evident in his interest in civic activities. He attended Police Academy programs at the local and county level during his school years many times and selected to be part of Boys State in New Jersey. He loved Young America Foundation (YAF) and engaged in national conferences in Santa Barbara, CA, and Washington, DC.

Vincent's life is exuberant with diverse passions, all with a lot of fun and joy. His hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, fishing, surfing, skateboarding, backpacking, archery, horse riding, woodworking, kayaking, blacksmithing, knife collecting of many verities, and ping pong. A dedicated gym-goer and martial artist, earning a black belt in Taekwondo, and loved to explore Muay Thai. A very talented trumpeter and trombonist throughout school years.

Proficient in Latin, Vincent competed in national conferences and later studied Hebrew with the family and Greek at the college level to deepen his understanding of The Scriptures.

Vincent's always loved running and completed the Los Angeles Marathon in 2023, a testament to his endurance and determination. He also earned many accolades in Taekwondo competitions.

Vincent's faith in Lord Jesus Christ grew leaps and bounds as he matured. He loved Church life, eagerly participating in youth groups, mission trips, retreats, and outreach events from a very young age in Telugu and English community Churches. He completed entire AWANA program at First Baptist Church in Kendall Park and later taught it while in college at Placerita Bible Church in Santa Clarita, CA, and loved discipling young people. As an active volunteer at home church Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro, NJ, he faithfully served by operating camera during three services never complaining toll it took having to wake up so early and be for many hours across multiple services. His unwavering trust in the inerrancy and infallibility of God Yehovah's Word to the minutest of details helped to ground his faith and enabled him to stand up to any discussions, either at home with parents or with friends.

Vincent by Grace of God Yehovah crisscrossed entire Land of the Bible exploring various archeological digs and eventually ended up going on his own for historical Tel Burna dig being part of large team that found Assyrian King Sennacharib's army iron spear tip that proved factual attack against King Hezekiah as recorded 2 Kings 18 in the Bible and was eager to go back to explore and unearth more Biblical artifacts in the years to come. Lord Jesus enabled him to travel many countries in Asia, most of Europe, few countries in Middle East and some part of Africa too, he loved travelling with just enough in his backpack.

Vincent's heart to excel in anything he picked up was displayed in his leadership roles when he presented a paper on opioid addiction at the South Asian Symposium at the White House, Washington, DC. Additionally, Vincent was an advisory member of the Franklin Township Recreation and Health councils. Actively contributed as a Somerset County Youth Council member for many years, mentored peers, and assisted special needs students at Franklin High School.

Vincent's fishing desire encouraged him at very early age to get a New Jersey Boat Safety Course and even went onto get trained in the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. Additionally he was holding membership in National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS), the New Jersey Aquarium Society, the Woodworking Guild Gold Member, and the National Junior Classical League Latin Honor Society.

Vincent has achieved numerous accolades in Latin competitions, Taekwondo, graphic design, and aquarium design awards at the World Pet Expo for few years in a row during middle and high school. And won Franklin Township photo contest awards for yearly official township calendars.

From his high school days, Vincent was attracted to the Rangers Challenge as part of the JROTC program at Franklin High School in which he served as a captain, and he was eager to go to US Army Rangers school and attain the much-coveted Ranger badge next summer. But Lord Jesus' plans are higher than ours and His thoughts better than ours. [Isaiah 55:8-9 NASB95] "8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 9 "For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts."

Throughout his truly beautiful, blessed life, Vincent held an unshakable faith in God Jesus Christ as Savior. He shared this faith not through many words but by living a life of action, honesty, humility, and passion. His legacy is a testimony to the transformative power of the Living and Life-Giving Word of God Yehovah, inspiring others to press on toward the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

[Philippians 3:13-14 NASB95] "13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of [it] yet; but one thing [I do:] forgetting what [lies] behind and reaching forward to what [lies] ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

Vincent's life reminds us to live to the fullest and abundantly for the glory of God Yehovah, trusting in His sovereign plan, especially at low points or tough times in life.

[John 10:10 NASB95] "10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have [it] abundantly."

Vincent demonstrated in his life that one can explore the nature, have fun, go on adventures, play, have best that Spirit of God Yehovah offers within boundaries but still pursue Lord Jesus with passion, fear and zeal - showing both are not mutually exclusive and don't have to be confirmed to the World but still live a transformed life being His light.

We trust that Vincent's Master Christ Jesus recruited him only after he graduated in Biblical Studies and getting commissioned as an Army Officer in His sovereignty precisely called into His Heavenly Army to conquer evil when He returns one last time.

"14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses." - [Revelation 19:14 NASB95]

"21 "His master said, 'Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.'" - [Matthew 25:21 NASB95]
