Flew with Vaughn many times at AWA. Always an enjoyable trip. Wonderful guy.

Vaughn and I met in Fairbanks in 2024 when I was on vacation with my daughter. He and his friend Steve apparently mistook us for guides at the Trans-Alaska pipeline and talked to us. We arranged to meet for a beer that evening.
Since then, we have talked on the phone every week. I enjoyed these calls very much. We became really good friends and were planning to see each other again this year. And I was so glad when he sent me a message immediately after the surgery that he got through it ok.
I won't forget you, Vaughn!I am sure we will meet again sometime, somewhere.
I wish Eric and the family all the best for the time ahead!

We had great times when the family lived in Colorado Springs. I especially enjoyed Vaughn playing the piano! He played by ear which I always admired, whereas I played only by reading music. Our kids enjoyed visiting their cousins that we didn’t get to see often enough. Mark and I like remembering sitting in an airport eating lunch and Vaughn walked by us and we yelled at him and he was just as surprised to see us. We had lunch together and enjoyed the time we had together. Our sympathy goes out to our nephew, Eric on the loss of his father. We hope he has good memories to remember his father which we are sure he does. Our love goes out to him at this hard time.
