I briefly cared for Tyson during my short stint at UCD. I was thinking about him today, and found this page, and wanted to share my condolences. He was such an amazing young man. I was struck by how thoughtful he was, how caring, how insanely smart and talented. He was a joy to take care of, and to get to know. We spent many hours working at puzzles, listening to music, and talking about his experience; I think those conversations were perhaps more impactful to me than he realized. You, the rest of his family, are in my thoughts. Thank you for allowing me to take care of him, and I am praying for peace for you all. His memory is a blessing to many.

Par and Garrett, I have been thinking about you and your family a lot, and I grieve with you.
I haven't been a part of your children's lives, but I remember you coming to my place in Bodega Bay, and your kids boarding down the sand dunes, making music on my instruments, and just being happy here. I got a full report from Garrett, and have have always treasured it as family.
That will be a part of my life with your family, and forever grateful I am. Your son will be playing my instruments, living a life of joy in my house enduring. My house is blessed by your son's presence, and I will hold his joy here always.

I have so many memories of watching all of our kids grow up together laughing and with Tyson’s head sticking up above the rest of them with that beautiful smile lighting up his face. We are sending you much peace, strength, and love as you navigate each new day.
