Trevor's obituary
In profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Trevor K.C. Haye, a loving father, brother, and grandparent. Born on the 4th of November, 1945, he graced the world with his presence until his demise on the 18th of August, 2025. His spirit, his laughter, his love for history and music, and his remarkably sociable nature remain indelibly imprinted in our hearts.
Trevor was a man of extraordinary charisma who relished the company of others. His demeanor was friendly, talkative, and warm, making him a joy to be around. A devoted family man, he adored spending time with his family, and cherished his time with his grandchildren. His love for music and history was evident. He loved a wide range of music from Reggae, Funk, Hip Hop/Rap, R&B, Jazz, and Blues and kept up with current music of today. He was a life-long student of history, politics, and current events, and enjoyed sharing his extensive knowledge with all who would listen.
Among his many lessons, Trevor encouraged everyone around him to cherish their family time, take risks, and live life to the fullest. He was a resourceful individual who was always ready to offer sound advice and practical solutions. Trevor's business savvy was apparent to everyone who knew him, and he readily shared these insights to help others.
Trevor's legacy is one of love, kindness, and friendship. His love of history and facts, evident in the family stories he so joyously retold, will be cherished by all who heard them. We will remember him as a music connoisseur, fount of wisdom, and a loving soul that touched everyone around him.
He is survived by his children, Timothy, Natalie (Beau), Khadeja (Shawn), and Sharifa; brother, Anthony; cousin, Janet; Granddaughters, Tanisha, Tanelle, T'ajanae and Kalynn; as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends. Trevor was predeceased by his parents, James and Mercedes; and sister Mercedes.
They, along with the rest of the family and friends, mourn the loss of this cherished man as they celebrate the richness of his life. Let us remember Trevor not with tears but with the happiness, laughter and warmth he brought to our lives.
