My Cousin Trevor,

It is with immense sadness that I write this. I never knew that our conversation mere hours before you left us , would be our last. I will still speak to you and of you.

I miss you.  You were kind, wise, thoughtful and loving.  You were private and respected the privacy of others. You spoke not a word of hate towards others.

Thank you for those marathon chats. Thank you for the stories on family. I do not know which of us enjoyed it more. Your advice was always dispensed with wisdom. I am already putting some into action. I will miss your “Hi there”, at the beginning of our calls. 

You were cosmopolitan in your views. You loved your family, you were the bridge. You wanted us to show nothing but love. Thank  you. Your last advice was, “write it down”. I in turn said to you that you should write it down. I knew that you knew so much more. I did not know at the time that you were giving me an assignment. I will do my best. I do not have all the answers, but will seek help from others. I will share. That I know is what you wanted.

I am eternally grateful to have known you.
