Totty Okoro Totty, Ph.D, 57, of Rex, Georgia passed away on July 27, 2023 after a two year fight with colon cancer.

Totty was born on June 26, 1966 in Nigeria. He played soccer for the Sharks Football Club, Enugu Rangers International Football Club and Nigerian National Soccer Team before coming to the US in 1988 to attend Southern New Hampshire University. A member of the 1989 Division II Men’s Soccer National Championship team, Totty was inducted into the Southern New Hampshire Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.

Totty went on to coach Division II women’s soccer at Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia and Division I women’s soccer at Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana.

Most recently, Totty served as a Professor of Sports Management at Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina.

A man who lived life on his own terms and the way he wanted, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nomvula Nkabindze Totty, and is survived by extended family, friends and a Goddaughter.
