Timothy's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy "Tim" Huynh, a man of deep kindness and generosity, who left us on December 5th, 2024. Born on September 19, 1994, Timothy was a vibrant soul known for his mindful nature, sense of humor, and caring spirit, often tinged with a unique sarcasm that endeared him to all who knew him.

Timothy is survived by his loving family including his mother, Leesa Nguyen, father, Anthony Huynh, and his brother, Jonathan Huynh. All will cherish the precious moments spent and shared laughter, particularly over their shared love for Mom's Bun Bo Hue and Dad's Banh Mi - dishes that would always bring them together at the table.

Smart and passionate, Timothy was an alumnus of Fairmont Preparatory Academy, where he graduated in 2012. In 2015, he earned his B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of California, Davis. His academic pursuits set the foundation for a dynamic career in gaming. In 2018, he joined Atlus, then moved to Sega in 2019, and 505 Games in 2022. Before his untimely departure, he was working with Bandai in 2024. Playing video games for a living is one of his greatest accomplishments.

Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Timothy was a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and held a deep fondness for various anime such as Stein's Gate, Toradora, Made in Abyss, Mob Psycho, and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. When he wasn't engrossed in these, he could be found enjoying his favorite movies, a list topped by titles like The Grand Budapest Hotel. Timothy's biggest hobby was gaming. His favorite games included The Legend of Dragoon, Genshin Impact, and Honkai Star Rail.

Timothy's legacy of kindness and generosity will forever resonate with those who knew him. Every interaction with him left one feeling a little richer, a testimony to his enormous capacity for warmth and understanding. He will be dearly missed and remembered for the happiness he spread and the loved ones he has left behind.
