I met Tom at work. We both came to the IRS through the Assembly Language class and became friends. Tom was such a great friend. He would always chat with me when we were in the kitchen at work and tell me about his lovely family. I could tell how much he loved them. He was a one of a kind sweet guy! My heart goes out to his family. I hope God gives comfort to everyone during this difficult time.

I was very upset to have learned of Tom’s passing. I have so many fond memories of Mr. Sundy (AKA: Dadoo)
He was such a constant presence in my life growing up—whether coaching our soccer teams, running track drills with me just for fun, or patiently helping Jon and I bring our wild & crazy ideas to life. He was always there for our Boy Scouting adventures, acting as a constant guiding force & helping to keep us all on the path toward Eagle Scout. I’m sure it felt like herding cats to him, but he was somehow able to do it!
One of my favorite memories was when he picked us up early from school and road-tripped us down to Maryland for a concert. He allowed each of us to take a turn driving, putting his life on the line in the process! Once we safely arrived and got to our seats, I can’t imagine he loved the music - but he tolerated it with a smile knowing how much fun we were having. Most importantly he made sure we were safe, while still having the time of our lives!
I’ll always be grateful for the examples he set and the memories he gave us. He will be deeply missed.
Sending my deepest condolences to Anna, Halina, Jonathan and the entire Sundy family.

I was very saddened to hear about Tom’s passing. Growing up, I remember how generous and practical he always was. When Jon accidentally put a Jon-sized hole in the wall of my bedroom, Tom came over to help Jon and I fix it. That kind of steady, no-nonsense kindness left an impression on me that I’ll never forget.
Later, as a young adult with no money, Tom once again showed up for me. He welcomed me into his home, giving me a place to live for years — the first place my future wife and I shared together. I will always be grateful for the generosity and care he extended during such an important time in my life. Rest in peace, Tom.

I was so sad to hear about Tom’s passing. He was a a valued co-worker, not only for his competence, but also for his wonderful personality. The world is poorer for his absence. My condolences to Jonathan and the rest of Tom’s family and friends.
