I learned about Ted first as a relection of The Doctors Hahn through knowing Bevra, their admirable partnership, and academic achievements before Bevra introduced us at our ACR ski meeting… His smile, wit, friendliness, calm in a storm all were evident. I always enjoyed the way they looked at each other, their shared humor ..Later in our long friendship, I continued to learn from The Doctors Hahn their template for balancing their academic/research/mentoring demands with family and joie d’vivre: April and Alysanne were spot on in characterizing him as the life of the party, and his mantra “ Can I get you anything”..

Dear Bevra,
Praying for your peace and strength during this very challenging time.

What a lovely man. As a teenager, to me, he was a great example of what fathers should do. Just there. Concerned. Adventurous, kind and forgiving. (Even as an adult when my toddler put a credit card In the floppy disk section and ruined his computer!). Bevra and Ted built an amazing loving environment for their family and all of those lucky enough to be a part! Love you dearly, probably more than you know!

Ted became part of our family when our son married his daughter. It was a win /win for all of us. I always tell people that Ted reminds me of Mr Rogers, kind, caring, gentle and accepting of everyone regardless of race or status in life. I am so thankful I knew him.
