Ms. Tanya was a very kind person with a very kind voice.  When you looked at her, just simply saw kindness.  Kind in all of her ways.  I will most remember her as one of MY potluck mothers.  She always wanted me to take home the leftovers.  It didn't matter how much there was.  So, of the many pounds I've gained over the years, I won't mind holding on to those pounds that may have resulted from MY potluck mother.  Rest In Peace Tanya!  You definitely deserve it.

Alix and Natalie I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom will always have a special place in my heart. The first volunteer job I had at Arlington SDA church was working in the kitchen doing set up and cleanup for our sabbath school class potluck. Ms Tanya, Ms Elaine and Mr Jim always stayed to help every time. We had so much fun and got to know each other very well.  I got to love her very much and treasured every moment we shared.

Many years ago I assisted Tanya in the 4-year-old Sabbath School class.  It was evident she loved teaching and loved the children she taught.

We had a church member down on her luck and wanting to improve her life. Tanya taught her how to parallel park using orange cones in the church parking lot. She offered her home and helped in any way she could. She had a heart of gold!

She loved potlucks and always stayed behind to help clean up. She was a treasure!

Sweet memories of Tanya - going to Shindig together, dancing, having fun. A ride to Lake Whitney with Jim Rommer and the countless potlucks we shared. She shared words of encouragement, appreciation, a listening ear, a generous heart and was totally trustworthy. She is greatly missed.

Tanya was always joyful and helpful.   When I was pregnant with our oldest,  Tanya found a great baby swing at a great price and brought it to me along with lots of baby supplies!!  She was so kind and always thinking of others.
Have always loved your mom, good times in Texarkana , just remember your mom always had a smile on her face and so kind. Always ready and willing to help, love, hugs and prayers to two girls and your family❤️

As we friends did on many occasions, we spent the night with Tanya. This particular night we waited until mama and papa went to bed and decided to go for a ride in the Chrysler.

Out we went, put the car in neutral and pushed the car to the street. We rode all over town that night! We made it back home just fine-so proud of our little outing!

The next morning “mama” said: if y’all wanted the car, I’d have given you the keys!!!

I first met Tonya at Judi Kester Home. She had a potluck. We would play a game after potluck . Such fun memories.

I would send her Thinking of cards .

I was told that it brought a bright smile to her face.
