In football, some of his varsity teammates called Randy "Tiger Waid." Randy was a defensive end who would line up over Jim Hardee when our offense ran plays in practice. As lanky and energetic as he was, Randy was hard to handle. One day Head Coach Hitchcock admonished Jim, "You've got to block Waid. He's a tiger."

High praise for #66.
