Steven (Steve) William Cote (62) of Dayton Maine passed away unexpectedly on October 9th 2022 in Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center hospital. He was born on January 1st 1960.

Steve’s happy place would be anywhere that he was fishing. He loved the beach and would always try to go there as often as he could. He loved to go for walks when he was able to. He enjoyed feeding the seagulls and collecting bird feathers he found when out and about. Steve was a very stubborn man who would argue with anyone who disagreed with him until neither could argue anymore. He was a jokester and would always try to make people laugh. There were many nights of family Poker games with pretzels that he would snack on without realizing they were his poker chips. Steve loved hats and would always collect a wide range of hats that he liked to wear. He loved to watch SpongeBob with his grandchildren and even on his own though he may not have ever admitted it. He enjoyed music blasting or just himself singing whenever his favorite shows were not on. Steve was never one to be able to keep a secret no matter how hard he tried. It would always come out most likely in a matter of minutes. He was huge talker and almost never was quiet. If there was quiet you knew he was doing something he shouldn’t. He was always willing to help anyone and would give the shirt off his back for anyone. He was very proud and would always want to share with the Deck of Cards Story.
