One day after Steve's memorial service, five remaining members of Virtue Trap (the band Steve founded more than 25 years ago) got together to record one of his songs. We're going to miss him.

There is no way I can describe the sorrowness, sadness, and sense of loss I am experiencing since I got the news form Joe. Steve was a big brother to me. He made it possible for me to experience facets of life that I would never have been able to explore. One has few life changing moments. Simply stated Steve changed my life. My most heart felt condolences to you Sarah and to you Brendan. He leaves a big hole for sure. I'm sorry but between life and health issues, I will not be able to attend the celebration of Steve's life. Please hoist a cold one for me in Steve's honor. (maybe 2 or 3). He will be missed.
Sara and Brendan, I was so saddened to hear of Steve’s death. He was always so kind to me when we attended St. Paul’s Church together. He was a comical man as well. Please accept my condolences and Prayers.

Sara, Brendan and Family,

I was so sorry to hear about losing Steve and wish you all the best for the future.  Steve was always so much fun to be around and so professionally respected.   Brendan, your tribute was beautiful.  Sara, thank you and Steve for being such good friends and for keeping track of me these past two years.   I’ll try to reciprocate .  It will be hard but I know you will keep your head up high.

Sorry I won’t be able to make it next week but I hope our paths will cross before long.

Love and best wishes,   Len

Steve was always the life of the party! A great musician, gifted raconteur, good friend to me and Paul Rice, and an inspiring professor. He will be sorely missed by so many. My love to all of you.

My deepest condolences to you all during this time.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Steve's sudden demise. He will be sorely missed and long remembered by so many. Sending you love and the hope that memories will keep you strong.
Steve Nagle sponsored a Fulbright Grant to Poland in 1992 composed of SC teachers and college professors. This trip was literally life changing for me and I will be forever grateful to Steve for his leadership, camaraderie and patience!... Mark Scarbecz
