Sherry's obituary
Sherry Ann Velarde (née McDaniel), age 80, peacefully took her last breath surrounded by her loving family on June 30, 2024, in Gilbert, Arizona. Born on July 9, 1943, in Gueydan, Louisiana, she moved through life with a profound grace and resilience that touched everyone she met.

She is lovingly remembered for her tenacity and kind soul, qualities that greatly influenced her family and allowed her to fight a courageous battle with cancer, surpassing expectations. This also allowed her to continue to inspire her grandchildren, Sidney and Jacob Fiddler, making a positive impact on their young minds. Her life was a testament to her strength and caring nature, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Robert Velarde; daughter, Stacey Fiddler; son, Bucky Fiddler; grandchildren, Sidney and Jacob Fiddler and siblings, Carol (FeFe) Paul and Jerry LeJeune.
