How are donations used?
All donations fund our programs for cancer survivors and caregivers:
3-day retreats in the Colorado Rockies
Walks
Hikes
Cancer to 14K (a 10-week hiking-based conditioning program)
on-line programming such as mindfulness, Pilates and strength classesAll of our programs are free for participants.

What can be done with a $100 donation?
$100 pays for food for a survivor and their caregiver to attend a retreat.

What progress has been made already thanks to your donors?
Over 1500 people have attended one of our retreats.
Over 5,000 people have attended our hikes and walks.
Our participants report reduced anxiety and depression. Most have made new friendships with people who understand what they have been through. -
What is the history of your organization?
Live By Living was founded in 2008 by Dan Miller in memory of his late wife, Julie Wrend. Dan wanted to share the benefits he and Julie had gotten from hiking in nature during Julie's battle with cancer with other people who are dealing with the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
