Background
Update: Between online donations and offline donations, we have reached our goal for Aviation Maps. Anything raised after 8/2/2022 will be given to AIM AIR's Wings of the Dawn fund, a flight subsidy fund for select operations determined to be worthy and necessary, and where other funding is unavailable or inadequate to meet the operating expenses of the flight. Update: We have raised the goal slightly to account for shipping costs from Europe and taxes expected upon import into Kenya.
Scott is requesting donations and memorial gifts be given to a new project to generate high quality updated aviation maps for small aircraft in Kenya. The existing maps were made over 30 years ago and are missing important navigation information as the country has grown and developed during that time. These maps are a tool that will be useful to many organizations and pilots in Kenya. The project will be overseen by a good friend and colleague of Scott named Eric, who is based in Kenya. If you prefer to give by cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal, please contact Ashley.
