My condolences to Lisa and all the family. I knew Sandy thorugh work at After-School All-Stars. I saw him last when he came to set up the DC office in January 2020, right before the world stopped because of the pandemic. Sandy was always kind, ready to help, funny and gentle, exactly like the obituary describes him. I had the greatest respect for him. I miss him on the ASAS team.
Lisa, every memory I have of Sandy is of him with a smile, especially when he was around you! He had a gift for making everyone feel at ease and welcomed, and his zest for the more playful things in life made him instantly likeable. Sandy was a beautiful human who had the wisdom to love another beautiful human. Xoxo
I worked with Sandy at NIH. I had not seen him in a few years but we chatted a bunch on Social Media. When my favorite Baseball Player got traded to the Dodgers. Sandy went to Dodgers Stadium and got me his Bobblehead… When me and nephew went to a Star Wars Festival. We got Sandy a “May the 4th T Shirt”. I’ll miss our Chats. Just a all around super Guy!
Very blessed to know Sandy. He was always upbeat, supportive and supported LAWA with a smile!! There was nothing he couldn't do, and for that we always called on him! He'll always have a special place in our hearts as a reflection of kindness and helpfulness. Thank you Sandy! Always in our hearts!!!
What an incredible obituary—I feel giddy just reading about Sandy! I am so thankful that you had/have Sandy in your life, Lisa. And my heart goes out to you and your family in this time of grief and transition. I will be on a plane during Sandy’s celebration of life, but will be thinking of you and sending prayers of love and comfort.
Dear Evelyn & Phil, Our heartfelt love and respect to you and your family at this heartbreaking news. Sandy seems such an incredible person.. I remember seeing your kids when they were infants, the two identical twins, and Sandy was the bigger one😍 May his memory continue to bring you peace at this time.🙏🏼🙏🏼 Much Love to you and your family, Cleveland Yee
Lisa - I am so so sorry to hear about Sandy's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Sandy at the Phillips on the Sant Penthouse floor. Sandy, Darci, and I loved pulling together a fun and creative invitation to the floor holiday party every year -- a little creative endeavor outside of our daily work. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for you and the family. Sandy will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Lisa, I’m so sorry to hear about your husband’s passing. I wish I had the pleasure of meeting Sandy as he sounds like a fun, accomplished, and loving man. My condolences.
This is true love if there ever was! Thank you Lisa for painting a beautiful picture of the artist himself. You’re keeping him in our hearts as he swipes a paintbrush of love and joy across all of our lives. Thank you for loving him in the way that he deserved and thank you for letting us grieve with you. I’m not ready to let go of him, even with the pain. I’m keeping both of you in my heart. Love, Suzanne
