I met her when i was a young girl in Campsite Nonoc island seniors area too. She was a nice lady.
In response to "How did you first meet Rogene?"
My heart goes out to all who are missing this wonderful woman. I was lucky to know her for a while in professional settings. She was wicked-smart, empathetic, generous -- and the very definition of soft spoken grace combined with strength. Whenever Rogene and I chatted about personal things, she often relayed how much joy she felt in being with family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.

It was great fun working with Rogene, along with Margo Murray and Julie O'Mara our our Performance Champions presentations. Then later having lunch at Rogenes' house when Margo and Julie would come to town.
I send my condolences to the Baxter family and it was a lovely service this afternoon for Rogene.

I relish the many years I spent serving the Lord with Rogene in various ways at First Presbyterian, Concord, and the many great times of learning and fellowship.  She had a wonderful, loving heart, in addition to exceptional knowledge and people skills.  I will miss her greatly.
Rogene was a wonderful colleague and a special mentor for me as I grew and learned about being a professional, ethical consultant within the Institute of Management Consultants.   She was always a positive, enthusiastic friend with a delightful sense of humor.
I am so saddened by this news. I worked for Rogene in the 90’s and she was a beautiful soul.  She had a huge heart and a wonderful sense of humor.  This lady made an impression on me that will last forever.  My condolences to her family.  Heaven is lucky to have you!
Simply stated, Rogene Baxter was one of the most admirable people I have ever known.
All our Soares family are sad to hear about Rogene passing away! We are grateful for the many years of church and fellowship memories with”Gene”. We send prayers and sympathy to Dan, Becki, Marshall and Jeff from our Colorado family!
Rogene was a great Mentor to me when I started my management consulting practice. She was supportive and a great teacher. Always gracious and kind. She will be missed. Emily Blanck

I don’t know how this announcement found me.  Glad it did.  I knew Rogene for a few years as a management consultant, before  tech was as ubiquitous as today.

She inspired and helped open doors for many people A great lady.  My sympathy to the family.

She

Rogene was a treasured confidant, mentor, and friend when I was just a newbie in my career.  She taught me about the value of differences and how to stand my ground with grace.  I am a better person for knowing her and I will truly miss her.  Thank you for believing in me Rogene!
I knew Rogene from NCHRA and enjoyed collaborating with her over the years. She was a kind and knowledgeable professional who had a fair and pragmatic approach to her business, partners and clients. She will be missed. Condolences to her family.
I am so saddened to hear about Rogene’s passing. I knew her from the Institute of Management Consultants. She and several others met for a few years to figure out how we can use social media to boost our businesses. Rogene was enthusiastic about the DiSC assessment and I learned some very good tips from her. I know she loved and was devoted to her family and send my deepest condolences to her family.
Rogene was my informal mentor for a period of my walk with Jesus.  She came over to my house one time. Dan had driven her over and waiting in the drive way for her, since he cared for her and didn't want to worry about her.  Rogene saw my spread of materials and journals trying to get closer to God and, I'll never forget this, she said, "God is everywhere. You don't have to try so hard." This forever changed my perception of our Lord. Rogene, I will be forever grateful to you. May you rest in peace.
I am so sorry to hear about Rogene's passing. She was always so generous with her knowledge and wise advice. I will miss her very much.
