Laura and Robert back home in…
Laura and Robert back home in Santa Barbara after traveling to Norway and Spain in 2019. That year, Robert, Laura, her brother Skip Giske and his wife Beth had traveled together. Robert was intrepid, friendly, curious and happy to make new friends within this branch of their big family.

Robert & Laura joined the 17th Mai parade on Giske Island in Norway. The white church behind them has been there since about 1200, and is directly across the road from Giske cousins Haldor and Inghild Giske.

I am so sorry for your loss Laura, Robert was a special person in my life too. Before you guys moved  to Santa Barbara, Lynn and I spent a lot of time with Robert and you. We were both sad to see you go. 

Before we married we were at your home many times ad got feed back from Robert on the considerations of our pending wedding. I was having second thoughts, we both came over to your house for dinner and told Robert that we were breaking up and came over to say that the wedding was off.  When I told Robert he looked at me and said "that's a bunch of shit and you know it".  His reaction caused me to realize he saw us as a couple and we were to be married to each other. He was right! Thank you Robert!

It is difficult to think he's gone to his next adventure.
