Even though I have lost a sister, I know there are many more who have suffered a tremendous loss. Love and hugs to Rita's children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We will all miss her very much. Much love, Wanda

Rita was the eldest of the three sisters. I was in the middle. Since she was the eldest sister, she was expected to watch after me. Mama would write a list of things she needed at the store and send us to get them. She told Rita..now watch Wanda cross the street. We came to the street we needed to cross and she stood there and looked both ways to amend sure it was safe for me and said ok go..So I went across and got there safely. Then instead of looking for herself, she started across without looking and almost got hit. I remember the lady driving the car was so shook up..Are you OK? Yes, she always looked after me and I looked up to her. Sorry to say goodbye to my last remaining sister.

Rita you were a very bubbly person and make funny jokes. When I was 7 or so You drove us in a big car n I felt special. I called you to plan and visit but your AC was broken n a year went by, say hi our family in heaven. Since I come around my family ask about you. Your now surrounded by peace and patient because God has a plan for your Children. See you soon and we may joke. ❤️. Always think of you. One more thing you be missed. Smile

Rita was always so kind with her words & offers to help me after my husband passed away almost 8 yrs ago. Me & my husband Jim enjoyed chatting with & we knew Isaac from the time he was maybe 5 yrs old. Our home was on Carnation Lane too, not quite directly from Rita. She was a very special lady, & I've missed seeing her since I sold my home in 2023,moving to North Peoria.
In response to "What made Rita different from most people you know?"

So, so shocked to learn about Rita's demise a couple of weeks ago from an old neighbor in Avondale, & want to express my condolences & deepest sympathy. My thoughts & prayers to all her family! Up until going on 2 yrs ago, I lived across the street from her, so every so often, would see her/chat with her. I sold my Garden Lakes home in July 23,having moved to north Peoria,& somehow neither one of us stayed connected, & I'm truly sorry for that. Maybe God grant all of you peace, comfort, & strength through such a difficult time!

I will always cherish the memories with my tia. Especially from our young years. The amazing family gatherings, the guitars playing and the singing. Will always miss those days. I love you tia, miss you.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss, Rita was a very special woman, with the most sassiest, wittiest humor!
Even when she was in the hospital, when I was with her, a nurse had asked to see her legs, to which she responded, “You’re not even gonna buy me a drink first?!”
I’m sending lots of love, and prayers during this tough time.
All My Love,
Colton
