Richard Lee Harrington, Jr., was born on September 9, 1974, and died on May 26, 2020, at the age of 45. Born to mother Patricia Harrington (Consivdo) and father Richard Lee Harrington.

He is survived by: wife, Hamidah Harrington; sisters, Betty Harrington and Sonya Harrington; nieces, Rebecca Reid and Tiffany Harrington; and nephews, Theodore and Justin Reid.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Diana Harrington.

Richard was proud to be a soldier in the U.S. Army and would try to go above and beyond to assist any soldier he could. He was also a person that loved animals and once said he would love to have a house full of all different types of pets.

He loved to build anything out of wood and repurposed pieces of furniture. He repurposed several pieces over the past few years to look brand new. He loved breaking the piece down to the bare wood and building it back up to be perfect.

Richard also loved American history and going to museums. When visiting historical sites, he was always able to provide more information then listed. His impressive knowledge about history seem to come directly from an encyclopedia.

Making people laugh was another one of Richard’s talents. He did not take himself too seriously and loved to be the life of the party. He was a talker, and to know Richard, you had to accept he liked to talk.

He was also nostalgic and enjoyed reading comic books from his past. He would get five or six comic books and read them in one night and then reread them. Those books brought back some happy moments from his past. He was a Marvel fan, never DC, and could tell you the entire history of all the Marvel characters.

There were many facets to Richard Lee Harrington, Jr., and some will remain a mystery. He will continue to be loved and will always be missed.
