Background
Our family is heartbroken to share that my brother Raymond passed away unexpectedly on April 23rd following a traffic accident while riding his bicycle. He was 50 years old.
Ray was a devoted son, loving uncle, and a dear friend to many. He is remembered for his humor, his stubborn resilience, and his abundant kindness. He was genuinely curious about other people—their lives, their work, what they cared about—and he had a way of making the person in front of him feel seen. Whether it was helping a friend move, showing up during hard times, or quietly picking up the tab at the bar, Ray was always looking for ways to take care of the people around him. He lived in Sunnyvale with our mother, who he was devoted to and helped care for.
His passing came without warning, and our family is now navigating the painful work of saying goodbye. Ray did not have life insurance, and we are covering the costs of his cremation, memorial service, and final arrangements ourselves.
If you knew Ray, or if you simply want to help a family in a hard moment, any contribution toward these costs would mean a great deal to us. Anything left over after expenses will go toward Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (bikesiliconvalley.org)
Thank you for your kindness, your memories of Ray, and your support.
