Coach Cao is the best. His spirit lives on forever , he will always live in everyone's heart. Jane,  you are the best wife, please take good care of youself.
Our hearts and condolences go out to Pings family and friends. Ping was a very special person. Always smiling and making people feel so peaceful when he was around. Our grandchildren loved his magic tricks. He was so patient showing them over and over the tricks. We will all miss him. He always had a special gift for me. A beautiful scarf, a picture he knew I would love. His thoughtfulness was so part of his personality. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

曹平是中国排球的精彩传奇,也是我青年时代的偶像。他化为了璀璨的星辰,他的故事将永远流存。
We are deeply saddened by the tragic news and will always remember Coach Ping🙏 Coach Ping was our daughter, Joy Liu’s  first volleyball coach, teaching her private setter lessons from age 12 to 18, guiding her from a volleyball novice to the university team. Like many young volleyball players in DFW area, Joy truly benefited from Coach Ping’s encouragement and high-level volleyball skills guidance, for which she is incredibly grateful. Coach Ping’s passion for volleyball remained unwavering for decades, and he meticulously guided his students. May he rest in peace and continue to love volleyball from heaven. 🙏🙏

My deepest sorrow for your loss of a wonderful person.

To Ping. It was a pleasure competing against you on the other side of the net, but no greater than being your friend outside the court. I will truly miss you!

Dear Jane, I was so sorry to hear about Coach Ping's passing. He was such a kind soul—always smiling, a wonderful listener, and someone who could make people feel cared for. I can only imagine how deeply you must miss him. Please know that I’m thinking of you and sending strength and comfort during this difficult time.  -Zhu Yun (朱云)
Back 2015 when Coach Cao trained Annie Chen and Stella Yan. What a great memory for our family to memorize Coach Cao whenever we watch this video.
Back in 2015, when Coach Cao was training my daughter Annie to play volleyball, my son Andrew was joyfully helping around the court, picking up balls. Those were such warm and precious moments. Every time our family watches this video, we’ll always remember Coach Cao with deep gratitude and fond memories.
Coach Ping taught my daughter Rosie private lessons for years, beginning when she first started learning volleyball. I’ll never forget when he came to watch our NTR Regional Qualifier for the 12U team. We were losing, but as soon as he started cheering, the girls turned it around — they played their hearts out and earned a bid. Coach Ping taught these young athletes to always give their best and never give up. I’ll always treasure the memories of chatting with him in the Nanjing dialect. We miss him deeply.

Coach Cao is a close family friend. And he was the volleyball instructor who introduced our daughter, Annie, to the sport. As the ancient saying goes, "One day as a teacher, a lifetime as a father." Coach Cao's patient guidance has had a lasting impact on Annie, enabling her to maintain a consistent fitness regimen even amidst a busy schedule of studies and work. Coach Cao's aptitude and leaving coaching has inspired Annie to do the same with younger medical students. Despite his status as a world-class celebrity and a prodigy, he carries himself with humility and is extremely approachable. It is a pity that talent is often cut short. Coach Cao passed away at a young age. Today, we as a family, mourn his passing with a heavy heart. May Coach Cao find peace in the heaven, free from any pain.
