Peter's obituary

Peter, 60, of San Francisco, CA died unexpectedly on April 20, 2025 after a brief, but thoroughly annoying illness. His loss was completely unexpected and we are all shocked and deeply saddened.

Peter was born on November 29, 1964 to Aileen and Peter in Massachusetts.  He attended Amphitheater High School where he proved adept at the secretarial arts, as well as an enthusiastic member of that institution's Rogue Musical Theater Troupe.  After graduating high school, Peter worked as a legal secretary at several prestigious law firms for nearly 40 years where he was invaluable for his knowledge, expertise, and his unflinching willingness to chew through concrete and steel to get the job done.  Peter had an immense passion for learning, especially ancient history and languages.  Over the years, he managed to teach himself Sumerian, Egyptian hieroglyphics and Latin, dreaming of one-day reading inscriptions in situ. He also had a peculiar appetite for any form of shorthand and owned a library of antique shorthand manuals which he would read for pleasure.  Honest.  And the pens.  Don't get me started about the pens.

Peter was funny, with a quick smile and easy laugh that sounded like silver bells.  He loved to dance.  He sang show tunes to himself when he thought nobody could hear.  He was brave and so strong and there wasn't a thing he wouldn't do to help someone in need.

A celebration of Peter's life is in the works.  A date and time will be announced.
