Paula had a remarkable ability to make her voice heard and to share her political views with intensity and conviction. Her generous heart shone through as she always sought the best in others, whether discussing important political initiatives or taking a stand on CC&Rs for The Oasis Community. I will remember her values, her strength, and her unwavering belief in her principles fondly.
How much of a giver she was to any one that was in need.
I knew Paula through her other half coach Malody! They both had a profound impact in my life.  Thanks for always being nice and kind to me, also for keeping me in line. Gone but never forgotten 💔 😢 much love Sam!

Patti and I met Paula through our dog and Paula’s granddog in 2019.  Paula reminded me of all my Italian aunts, outgoing, loving, and VERY proud of her family!

She lived a very full life, but the stories we’ve heard about her teaching  life, made us wish that we would have had her as a teacher!

We’re so thankful to have met Paula, and blessed that we got to know her.  We’ll miss her,  but our memories of her will live on forever.  God Bless you, Paula🙏🏻❤️

Rest in peace! Mrs. Malody you made a huge impact on all of us students! Go with GOD

I'm so sorry for the loss of Paula. I'll always think of her whenever  I think of her love for Jesus..
My thoughts and prayers are with you all
I have been Blessed to know dear Paula Malody for so long. She was my sister’s teacher at Frisbie Jr. High in the late sixties.  Then she was my English teacher in 7th grade and I was her Student Assistant in 9th grade at Kolb Jr. High.  She was my favorite teacher and I worked with her in the Rialto High Internship Program.  She was brilliant with all  kids!!  She was a warm and comforting friend and I will always treasure her memory!! Deepest condolences to Mike and family!! May your memories of this wonderful woman soothe each of you on the hard days ahead.

Michael, Michelle, Michael and the Malody Family -- I remember my father and Uncle Pat sharing fond memories of their childhood with Paula.  I am so sorry for your loss.  May God Bless and keep you and may you find peace in the love of family and friends during this difficult time.   With love, Gina Agresta Richardson
We have loved Mrs Malody for so long. She was our favorite teacher  and becane our friend. Her love for teaching has impacted many! To this day, my husband Todd tells this story: "I forgot to turn in an assignment in the morning and thought after lunch would have been fine.  When I turned the paper in MM asked why it was late. I said I forgot. She calmly asked, "What does FORGOT begin with?" I said F to which she said, "that is your grade. Goodbye." We will always love Mrs Malody.  Todd and Donna

Paula and I became friends more than fifteen years ago. Shortly after we met, we realized how much we had in common and quickly became the closest of friends.

• We were both educators, devoted to the growth and success of our students.

• Paula shared the same doctor at USC Medical Center as my late husband.

• We both had children within thirteen months of each other—girls first, then boys.

• Paula’s daughter, Michelle, and my son now live within blocks of each other in Huntington Beach.

• We both have grandsons named Jake.

• We even discovered we had identical living room furniture.

It always felt as though our lives were beautifully intertwined.

Paula had a remarkable ability to make her voice heard and to share her views—whether about her Christian faith or politics—with passion and conviction. She had a strong and generous heart and always looked for the best in people, whether she was educating her students or championing an important initiative.

I treasured listening to Paula’s stories—I could have listened for hours. She spoke so lovingly about her years of teaching and the many students whose lives she touched. She shared the story of meeting and marrying her beloved husband, Mike, with such joy. She delighted in telling stories about her children, Michelle and Michael, growing up with a pool in the backyard, and she spoke with deep admiration for Liz and Jason. She often said, “I am blessed with the best daughter-in-law and son-in-law in the world.”

The stories that made her smile the widest, laugh the hardest, and sometimes bring tears to her eyes were always about her grandchildren—Jake, Evan, and Jade. They were truly the light of her life.

I have so many cherished memories of Paula. One that stands out most was during the time I was writing my dissertation for my doctorate degree. She was endlessly encouraging and knew exactly how to motivate me to keep going. When I felt overwhelmed and doubted whether I could take the next step, she would gently “talk me off the ledge” and remind me of my strength and purpose.

Paula was also instrumental in making sure I had a big celebration after I completed my degree. I will never forget the two of us sitting in a bakery, tasting nine different cakes to choose the perfect one for the party. I had never felt so supported or so special as I did that day with Paula by my side.

Over the years, I often referred to her as my big sister. She always offered sound advice, unwavering encouragement, and the warmest, most loving hugs.

I continue to miss my big sister, Paula, every single day.

My sincere sympathy to the Malody Family!

I first met Paula when I was in elementary school and she was still Ms. Romeo. She worked with my Mom, Nancy Greeley,  at Kolb, We opened the door on Christmas Eve and Santa Claus (Mike) and Ms. Romeo were there (was this their first date?). I was so confused because I knew Ms Romeo but why was she with Santa Claus.  There are many memories throughout the years.

RIP Paula. My condolences to the family

I've never known anybody like Paula. She was opinionated, but loving and so generous.  She was larger than life. I will miss our weekly visits. I loved her.
I was fortunate enough to have her as a teacher at Kolb Jr. High, as well as Eisenhower High.  I'll never forget how every student in her classes, we're also considered one of her "kids". My best memory is going to her house with other classmates for a pizza party. Mike and family, my sincere, deepest condolences on your loss. We have truly lost a wonderful woman. May she Rest in Peace in the presence of our Lord, and may you find comfort in the coming days and months.
Paula was a second mother to my daughter Elizabeth Melody. Liz is married to Paula‘s son Michael. Liz really treasured Paula‘s advice and comfort.

I have so many wonderful memories of Paula. We met a Norma’s Bible study.  She rarely called me by my name, I was “honey. “   Paula was so generous always .She enjoyed sharing her thoughts and opinions that brought many smiles and great conversations.

She will be dearly missed.   Mike, Roy and I are praying for you and your families peace and comfort in the days ahead.
