I am so sorry to learn of Paul's passing. I have only learned of this now. We met in the '80s at Central CT State U where we were both students. Our paths crossed again in the '90s when we both lived in NYC. He was my only friend when I first moved there. We even lived together for a while and had fun parties and hilarious situations with our landlady. We were young and poor and would frequently borrow $5 from each other to get to payday. He always had wild antics, taking me to strange niche spots in the city, which frankly probably weren’t a good idea :) but we were young and adventurous. He always had funny stories and we would tease each other about our girlfriends/boyfriends and the ridiculous situations we found ourselves in. We would crack each other up for hours. His nickname for me was "Cheeky Monkey" from an SNL skit with Mike Meyers. He never stopped calling me that! He was also always there for me when life seemed to be falling apart. He would pick me up, help me sort things out and make me laugh. I recently texted him a post it note I found that he left me in the '90s in an old cook book that read "What's for dinnah"? We kept in touch over the years and I visited him a couple of times in California where he gave us a ride in one of his cool cars. He loved life and squeezed as much out as he could. Oh, Paul, you were a big part of my life for a long time and I will miss you dearly. Life is so fleeting. Cherish the memories.

I am headed in to Norcal for work so just assumed we would meet up for a cocktail and catch up time. Paul always had the best stories, knew the best reasturaunts, and of course, the best wine. I texted a week ago or so and hadnt heard back which is very unlike him. Last text i had was last April. He was happy and dating a nice woman. I waa waiting for the wedding announcement. Paulo will be so sorely missed by so many people he was able to call true friends.

Thank you Paul, for the most wonderful 18th birthday. You always took my mom and I to the coolest places, and we’ve created so many amazing memories because of you.

So sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. While Paul and I only crossed paths maybe once a year, we always had a friendly conversation and I was always very impressed by his knack for remembering what was going on in my life. I’ll miss the banter we shared and his amazingly warm nature. I regret not taking him up on the trip out west — you will be missed, Paul! 

It's a rare privilege to encounter individuals who consistently emanate positivity, and Paul was undeniably one of them. Hearing of his passing deeply saddened me. The handful of times we crossed paths, each interaction was always a breath of fresh air. His cheerful demeanor and genuine passion will be sorely missed, but the sunny memories will forever be cherished. Rest in peace, Paul.  Love -- Tedi

Before the tipsy taxi Paul would take friends and family on tours of the Bay Area. On this trip he let our son who was not of legal driving age drive his Porsche.

I first met Paul in Sao Paulo when we launched SOS in Brazil and was won over immediately by his warmth and sense of humour. Since then we spent a lot of time together at trade shows and became good friends as well as colleagues. Paul did a fantastic job for Sound On Sound in the US but more importantly he was a genuinely lovely person and he will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. If there is an afterlife, let's hope it has wine.

The camera had a better focus than us! My birthday : after a particularly bad breakup, Paul dragged me out. Theatre and alco-bowling. My world had collapsed. He was there. We were there for each other over various events in our lives when I was lucky enough to be near. We stayed in infrequent remote contact after I left the bay area, and later the states. His loss ranks as one of the hardest for me. Someone I haven't seen in 11 or 12 years. So many stories not swapped, so many beers not had. Paul was a truely incredible person who made a huge impact on many people.
