Reverand Patricia Eugenia Nance, "Pat", age 79, retired orthopedic bus aide for Prince George's County Public Schools, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Anne Arundel Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, June 13, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beulah Baptist of Deanwood Heights 5820 Dix St., NE Washington D.C. 20019. The viewing will be on June 14, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am followed by funeral services.
Patricia was born on September 26, 1944, in Washington, D.C. to William and Clarine Staggs. She grew up in the District and moved to Fairmont Heights and Seat Pleasant Maryland as a child. She attended Fairmont Heights High School with the majority of her siblings where she was known for her dance moves at the Fire Hall. Growing up, her parents kept her in church and attending Sunday school regularly. She dedicated her life to the Lord at an early age and received an associate degree from Howard University in Divinity. Reverend Nance was called to be a disciple of God's word at an early age. She dedicated over 20+ years to her career as a compassionate and skilled orthopedic bus aide for Prince George’s County Public Schools and touched the lives of countless special needs students, their parents, and colleagues.
