We regret to announce the passing of Patricia Gardner on March 25, 2024. She was born on July 28, 1944, and in her 79 years of life, she touched and inspired many with her warm, loving, and witty personality. Her loss was sudden, and her family is profoundly saddened.

Born to Catherine and Trevor Woodley in Quebec City, Quebec. Middle of 5 children, Richard, Ann, Gail, Joan. 

Pat is survived by Robin Gardner, her constant companion and husband of 49 years, her sisters Joan, Gail, and their families. Her daughter Julia, her husband Paul and her much loved grandchildren, Victoria, Ethan and Bennett. And her daughter Allison, her partner Stewart, and many loyal friends.

Patricia was a beacon of light in the lives of those she encountered, always ready with a helpful hand and a kind heart. The lessons she shared were simple yet profound: be yourself “gal”, be kind and think of others, and from the irish part of her,  to keep fighting the good fight.

Patricia's lasting legacy is one of kindness and generosity. She was a firm believer in the power of giving, whether it was her time to those in hospice, teaching french in schools, or love of over feeding of her family and friends. The joy of her life was her grandchildren, whom she loved passionately and for whom she desired a world filled with patience and understanding.

In her memory, we should strive to emulate Patricia's kindness and humour, her capacity to love, and her unwavering belief in the power of resilience. She will be profoundly missed by all those she touched with her warm spirit.
