Hi Rob, and Audrey-
I am very sorry to hear about your mom. I'm late to saying this, but I have been praying for your family during this time of grieving. Brittany and I extend our condolences. Even though I've done a bad job staying in touch, I do always read your email updates and appreciate staying informed about your lives and ministry. I'm sure your mother was extremely proud of all of you, and her legacy will continue to live on through your daughters and more generations to come!

Patty welcomed our young family back in the Brooklyn days, but then also in the NJ days! She was a straight-talking, friendly, hospitable person who could make you feel comfortable pretty quickly. We wish you all God's peace. Blessings to Patty's memory

I arrived in Brooklyn, New York, in 1981 to begin teaching school. Jon and Patty arrived a year later at the First Evangelical Free Church . not long after they arrived, I spent some time in their home, and eventually My Wife, Debbie Maxwell Allen, began to regularly babysit in their home. I visited in their home a number of times through those several years, and John and I often talked about North Carolina basketball and lots of other things. They took My Wife under their wing, and grew close to her as well. They gave input into both of our lives, and John eventually counseled us and married us in June 1987. We’ll Always be grateful for their influence on both Debbie’s life and mine in those early adult years.

I was 15 and enchanted by this cute newborn baby whose smile melted hearts. She always spread cheer everywhere to everyone. Will hug you soon my sweet niece!
