Nicholas's obituary

Nicholas "Nick" Fasolakis (née Hammann), 59, of Lynbrook, NY, passed away on July 1, 2022, after a four-month long battle with throat cancer. Nick beat the throat cancer which would surprise no one that knew him. However, his body, weakened from the treatment, succumbed to complications from both pneumonia and COVID after the cancer was in remission.

He was the devoted husband of Kimberly Fasolakis, and a loving father to Christopher “Crite”, Nicolette, and Gabrielle, stepfather to Chris, Alyssa, and Adrianna, as well as grandfather to Christopher Jr. and Makayla. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Nick was both gentle to those that he loved but tough as nails when he needed to be. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and resilience. He was a “fixer” who loved to build things, work with his hands, and create beauty all around him. His children are thankful that they feel capable of taking care of themselves and their respective families, being handy when needed, and navigating life no matter the twists and turns, largely because Nick taught them many of those skills.

The family will be gathering privately to remember Nick and asks for privacy and discretion at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nick's name to Good Shepherd (https://www.chsli.org/good-sh…)

Nick is now at rest but will live on forever in the hearts of his survivors who love him so much. May he rest in peace.
